  • A large adult caddis fly for the mid summer hatch. With a wonder wing and a mixed hackle / over wing, of partridge and medium grey dun Herbert Miner rooster. Skated over the surface with short pulls, this is a great attractor pattern. Visit my site thefeatherbend...

    I've been trying a similar caddis imitation for 10 years.fishing the south Platte in July especially.....but yours is so good...the basic details always make a huge difference...I have been using wood duck and guinea hen feathers...i used moose fur for antennae...but they would only last 3 or 4 drifts...i think yyour tie is so much more practical...thanks so much for your take....

    When the fly gets wet again, won't the hackles go back to their original position/shape??

    • @Thefeatherbender
      @Thefeatherbender  Před 5 lety

      Hi, No after you have dried it over heat the hackles will stay in position, its rather like a permanent !
