Fantastic book, lots of detail that I had no idea about
I went to most games that season.
My favourite was the away win at Derby 5 -1 a fantastic day to great season .
Ordered it excited to read
I’ll be buying the book - I was 10 and I’m still waiting to see a better QPR team
Francis Peacock thank you very much sir for writing this book with photos and all the research which you did for it, with delight I shall look forward to purchase it. I too was in the loft during that majestic footballing season, even if Rangers were pipped for the title, surely the R'rrs were the best entertaining team not to be crowned champions.
I met Ron Phillips the secretary of QPR at the club and the great Stanley Bowles pass through the room, as I was being interviewed for a football trial.
Amazing to think I saw a footballing hero at the time walk close by as opposed to seeing him in the stadium. What heady days!
It will be good to learn more from the players accounts you quoted in the book. 👍👏Well done.
fantastic, what a wonderful read that would be. cheers.
it is!
I always remember the first game of that season when we beat Liverpool 2-0 , Gerry Francis scored a cracker , you just had a feeling you was watching a special QPR team .
Hi Sir
You were the assistant Head teacher when I was in blue coat.
Been awhile now
Well done 👏 ✔️
