I think it's pretty cool that you found a way to feed your family sooooo healthy & so inexpensively! Pay no attention to the criticism about repetition. How many people feed their kids fruit loops, fast food, and Doritos, because they are super busy, and noone says a word? You found a way to check all the boxes (whole food, healthy, budget-friendly, and efficient). I'm always impressed with your videos. 👉I don't know if it's cheaper, but hemp seeds are way higher than chia seeds in protein. Depends on your preference, too, right? Well done!👏♥️🇨🇦
My father worked through the Great Depression. He ate the same two meals everyday forever. Dinner was different every night, but breakfast and lunch was always the same for years. He lived to be 95.
My cousin's grandpa ate cereal for breakfast and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch every day for most of his life. Dinner was different every night. I don't think that that's bad at all! ❤❤
@@ericad3850 I agree and I have also followed the same behavior at times. People would always ask, "How can you eat the same thing everyday?" It is easy in my opinion. How can you not? Lol
You go girl! I am vegan and eat nearly the same thing everyday. I batch cook chili and soups and eat them all week. My kids and husband are omnivores and want something different every night. It's exhausting. Ironically my husband has lots of issues with his digestion, but refuses to change his diet to dial down the meats and oils. :( I'm not saying eating plant based is the cure for everything but it helps alot of things. :)
My partner was basically a carnivore before we went vegan. After switching his diet, so many of his health issues went away. It was literally crazy how much things changed for him. He was having joint issues, low iron, low potassium, poor liver function - 6 months into a vegan diet all that was gone.
You really have great food prices! My fave: $1.99 berries and WOW, $1 for 4 🥑. I'd love to have both every single day. To think I could have 4 🥑 a day for a week, $7 LOL. I think I'll make some pumpkin oats and pumpkin bread or muffins. I made lentil chili a few days ago when it was 22, 45mph winds and a few snow flurries.
What a great little market you have access to. I like watching your videos from a year ago because I can see the prices of things from your area a year ago and compare.
After watching your video's I started cooking on Saturday my day off for the entire week and we eat the same thing all week. It's a great idea as I don't like to cook that much.😊 Thanks for the great info!
Thanks for a great grocery haul! We usually alternate between 3 breakfasts and 2 lunches each week. Dinners are mostly different each night, unless we are using leftovers, which I love! Each family needs to do what works for them, while eating healthy and reducing waste.
We do a different dinner most days, but we have the same breakfast and same one or two lunches every day. It's so much easier than figuring out 21 different meals a week!
Thank you for this video. I like to eat the same thing all week, too.. Bananas or an apple and plain whole milk yogurt for one meal. And rice and cooked veggies for my next meal. Or a salad. I don't eat a lot usually. I only eat when I'm hungry. I stopped eating meat because it makes my joints hurt. I save a lot not eating meat. I do love meat, though. . I'm single and retired and struggling a bit financially so I rarely shop. I like your videos. They inspire me.
We plan to be in your area for our fall break vacation with the kiddos this October. I am making a run to Perrine's after we get there and get settled. Those prices are fantastic!
I live in New Jersey, near New York City, in the USA. I bought organic strawberries for our parrots last week. They were over 7 dollars for a small container! Food prices are really going up.
one way to keep food costs down. grow your own produce if space allows,or join a community garden,or agriculture co op. get to know shop owners. managers farmers. they may cut you a deal
I eat basically every day all week same breakfast its heathly tastes great and I enjoy it. I switch it up just about every week by changing the fruit but I do same!!
There is nothing wrong meal preping that way. On Sundays I make muffins for rhe week and one or two and dishes. I put the main dishes in individual containers to take for lunch. It makes it easier and all I have to do is a side or fix a salad
@@rochellethundercloud346 thank you. I meap prep to help me not to go out to eat. When my mom was alive it helped a lot. I was able to take her some food so she didn't have to cook. All she would do was fix a side.
I think it's great that you folks eat so healthy , delicious and can eat the same or similar daily. There are some foods- if I could eat them ( like pasta and bread or rice) I would eat them daily with no complaints! I have to eat grain free and choose to be vegetarian, so it isn't the easiest diet! Do you have a recipe for your smoothies you make? I can't seem to find 1 we all like, seems like someone is always complaining! I like the Anthony's brand- we have their cocoa powder, nutritional yeast and a few others.Thank you for sharing!
Ha! If people think you're odd eating the same things over and over again, I'd hate to hear what they'd say about me. I'll make a big pot of soup, or chili, or something else and eat it for a week or two. I don't get tired of it, and I don't have to think about what to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
I am surprised you have not started a regrowing of the Vegies you can. Like bottom of lettuces and easy Greens onions or celery and other Vegies in a mason jar to root , then move to a garden bed.
That looks so good. Maybe you could make Aussie lamington porridge, we use cocoa and serve with a little coconut cream and a sprinkle of desiccated coconut. Really yummy. Thanks to your videos we now eat vegan up to 4 times a week . We can't do gluten or soy ,so I make chickpea tofu (sometimes called Burmese tofu) very filling and yummy.
Thank you. Lots of great grocery haul. You can also make satain from regular flour washing .If you are on a really low income to make it even cheaper. ELLEN'S ABUNDATE LIFE ON LESS .(she's vegetarian) youtube channel she shows how to make it along with soy and oatmeal yogurt aswell as many other things aswell.
I am stocked up on the basics - oats, rice, flour, beans, etc. Things that just incase I cannot afford to go to the store, or cannot for whatever reason, we still have plenty to eat.

My 19 year old does this every morning, she does not get bored of it.
Prices at that market are amazing!
I can't get over how cheap your local produce store is. It's amazing deals! I love nutritional yeast on lots of things.💖
I’ve used the oats to also make flower so easy .
Hello, just stumbled upon your channel, we are also a plant based family and I like to see what others family eat to eat ideas..thanks for sharing.

Meal prep, if it works for you ignore the negative comments and keep doing what you think is best.
To ripe the bananas out them una brown paper bag, my folks always did.
What do your kids do for snacks? Or added calories? My younger kids are eating similar but snack constantly! Thanks for sharing
I've been making chia pudding in almond milk. I love it, and no more having to clean out the blender ;). Love your videos, you have great ideas.

@Michelle well, its autumn, perfect time to try it 🥰
Advice… brown rice is much healthier
Or quinoa or couscous
👍🏼. From Italy 🇨🇮
It does not bother me to eat the same thing everyday. This could save tons of money

I am a vegan cook and you can make from flour gluten steaks and many other recipes. This dry gluten is to expensive.
Can I pick your brain on easy vegan that doesn’t have tofu or curry based ( can’t eat a lot of spices )
we,too,eat real,single ingredient,whole foods.
not so much processed junk.
limited sugars,low sodium,low fat,60%plant based
Do you keep extra foods stocked up or do you just shop weekly? Food prices are getting insane.
