Looking great CT! So nice to do the brake lines when the body is off.
Thanks brother! 👍
Your patience is paying off big time! Nice to see you learn as you go CT!!!
Thanks John! 👍
Hi CT, good job on the brake lines. Good call on getting directions from Mike on this stuff. I've been so busy haven't had time to watch him much lately. I wish he do another bus someday.
Thanks Tim! 👍 I'm always calling Mike! He is a wealth of information! =)
66 to 67 is when Chevy changed from single to dual master cylinder, it was an important safety upgrade. I dunno about VW but would really be worth looking into. It's likely an easy retrofit.
I’m very thankful to find your build. I am in the process of dismantling a 70 beetle, not in as bad as shape as your 65 but I am wanting to build like you from the ground up. Thanks for the videos….keep them coming.
Right on!😎😎😎
hi CT, as a lot mentioned a;ready: don't forget your spacers at your master cylinder, otherwise big troubles with a emergency stop.
your clips on the flexible brake lines has to be turned, so that upper lip facing inwards. just some tips.
overall great work and stay inside with that allergy.
greetings from Belgium.
Glad i got this last mim ! Straight Ahead CT ✌😎made my day
Thanks Mike!
Very impressive work CT! That chassis is looking great! Well done!👌😎👍
Thanks buddy! 👍
Good progress dude! So much easier to do all of this with the body off, especially the main brake line to the rear.
Thanks man!
Great video. I'm glad you posted. Keep them coming, thanks
Hey Donnie! Thanks buddy!
Nice work sir! You have kept it real and I think this bug just might good win when she hits the road
👍😎👍
Cool, another episode.
😎😎😎
Looks great brother.
Thanks Terry! 👍
I hope you didn’t forget the spacers inside the frame for the two master cylinder mounting bolts. If you don’t the frame will crush.
I did…..dang it…
Yup
@@CTmoog Happens to the best of us; can be fixed easily. Also, before installing the shifter rod remember to install the round plastic shifter rod bushing with the round metal clip. That one goes right behind the shifter hole in the tunnel. The split goes toward the passenger side. Also grease the hell out of the shifter rod before sliding it in.
Dude, you just saved me. Doing a disc conversion with dual circuit master and old master didn't have the spacers!
@@ibrewster You ABSOLUTELY need those. The sheet metal on the Napoleon hat is too thin and it needs them for strength, especially on a panic stop when you have to slam on the brakes. Without the spacers you could break through that metal.
I’m waiting for the finished product, surly to god you’re reading these coments
Hey CT, sorry about the allergies. Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks Phil!
nepoians hat should have spacers where the master cylinder bolts to it. if they are not there your master bolts could go through the floor.
Thanks Mike!😎
Toujours sympa à regarder méticuleux, patient un bon moment à chaque fois !
You've come a long way, CT. Looking good!
Thanks George!😎
Excellent!
Thank you!
Nice Work CT 👏 👌 Looks Like You will be Driving 🚗 a Bug 🐛 Soon.
Thanks David! I hope so! =)
Good job CT gettin’ er done. Some good tips in the comment section. Also might need to bench bleed the master cylinder before putting it in.
Great job
Ansiosíssima pelo final desse Fusca(beetle). Tinha um modelo 76 mas vendi.
Amo seus vídeos. Assisto todos! Parabéns pelo canal.
Jolie travail!🇫🇷

Alright its CT time great job on that bug man keep it up man great job. I always look forward to your new stuff👍💯
Thanks Atom! I hope you're feeling better my friend.
@@CTmoog i got to get another referral to go to tampa bay cancer hospital need cat scans you name it i hope things go well i have a small grape size bump above my cut were he cut me open i have a feeling i got to have another OPERATION anyways CT thanks for your concern and keep up on that bug you nailed it on the brake lines sweet job.👍💯 later see you on the next one
I eat aspirins every night
@@CTmoog sorry vero beach thats the cancer hospital very nervous man
seems the car baking together in mint condition
While you still have the body off you should probably clean out your hard fuel line. Over the years they fill with varnish and sediments. Just fill it with brake cleaner and blow it out a few times.
Hey Patrick, you are correct. It is completely clogged. I can't get it clear. I will have to replace it with a new line.
@@CTmoog I’m sorry to hear that, It’s a major pain to try runnning another fuel line down the tunnel. Have you tried pushing a length of brake line through the factory fuel line?
Keep in mind that if you upgrade to disk brakes it will require a different MC.
Thanks Ed! That is good to know! =)
Your very welcome. I always run a thin layer of grease on the lip that the seal rides on.
Again CT great work ,a lot easier tho with body off 👍
Thanks Andy! 👍

Thanks Ricardo!
Good.job 😃😃😄👍👍👏👏cool
Don't be surprised if a lot of your fittings leak, you put NO thread sealants on your fittings, i.e.. thread tape or paste, love your videos, greetings from West Australia 🦘🦘
Thanks John! I will go back and do that. =)

@@CTmoogjust don't! You don't have to put anything on the threads.

Dust seal go on outside of bearing, the inside lip makes a seal on the axle shaft.
You can remedy your allergies by eating raw local honey every day! One teaspoon is all it takes. After two weeks you should notice a difference.
I will try that tomorrow. Thanks man! =)
Don’t know if it has been commented but that shift rod is not to be painted. Buff it off and lube the whole thing up that is it
Exactly; if it’s painted it will stick and shifting will be a nightmare.
53:40 CT is clearing out his yard...had to be done.
Coming along really good 👍...haven't missed any videos and this project is getting better every time. How's crusty running?
My mother has bad allergies. In my case I usually breathe out of my mouth and take in clear frequent inhales from time to time. I don't know how else to describe it except it is similar to Buddhist meditative practice. I get plenty of oxygen but from a different place. Literally.

Next time you do seals on brakes try using a small 2x4
Not sure why you didn’t use the tubing bender for a cleaner look on the brake lines. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
Some folks up grade to 1969 i think on the master cylinder
Hey man, thanks for this video. super helpful for my rebuild. I'm also building a 1965 bug. do you happen to have any idea if 1966 vw bug doors will fit a 65 bug? The interweb is not to clear on the matter.
Hey thanks man! Jack of all trades...Thats how I feel. Great name! =) keep in mind it's best to use the original metal to the car if you can even if you have to repair the metal...but yes the 66 should fit the 65...you might have to spend some time to get it to line up. also, check the forums on "the samba" lots of good info there.
I did check samba but I didn't find anything that was clear. I even reached out to Chris Valone who is an east coast vw guru and he wasn't to clear on the matter, but thanks, I will take a gamble 66 doors.
The bellows at the rear axle are still pointing at the wrong way.
that first brake line clip to bracket looks around the wrong way CT i could be wrong making it hard to remove if needed
Thanks Russel! I will fix it tomorrow.
I always follow your videos. I would like you to provide subtitles in Portuguese. Thanks!
Thank you! =) You should be able to click on CC and choose it on your device.
Surely that's reverse threads on the driver's side and regular on the passenger side?
Thank you my friend. =) I will take a look at the screw to make sure it's not hitting anything.

Hello, Avoid dripping brake fluid on the "Car paint". It will work like "paint stripper"😲. Regards Stig Österberg from Dalsbruk in Finland.
I ended up using seam sealer to hide the brake line running to the rear. Can hardly see it.

About those allergies. Are you originally a northern boy?Just curious.Im in Canada and I suffer the same allergies.lol.Just not for a couple of months yet.

Don't forget the teflon tape on the ends... and the geometry of those things is absurd, but crucial to everything fitting right.
Thanks Dave!
Do you use Teflon tape on the brake line connectors?
@@wannabtrucker8894 I do.. just to make sure
Can you please finish the first project “ Rusty “ VW bus
Some big updates coming soon FISH! =)
I understand you are trying to make a clean restoration, but I would have upgraded to a double circuit master...
Hey man, I agree with you. I think I'm going to upgrade the entire system to disc brakes.
@@CTmoog way to go, cheers!
Howe many half done projekt do you have now ?
Brake pipes at rear wheels looks suspicious. Look up old pictures of them to confirm how they are supposed to look.
Too short rubber pipe front wheels. Try to full left and right.
Тоже это заметил, колеса не вывернуть полностью
Ur going to need to sealing tape or something on then fitting or there going to leak
I really wish you used ball peen and deadblow hammers. It hurts me to see you use a claw hammer that way.
I'll pick up some this week. Thank you! =)
You may as well not bother wearing pants as much as your videos showcase your drawers.
An absolute joke.
I love flatheads; you own some?
What are you referring to? Help me out here, and be specific with your response.
