I love the Mielle Rosemary & Mint Styling Creme as a leave in/curl definer and I add the Mielle Honey & Ginger Styling Gel on top and I got a great wash n go with it. I went in a little heavy with the styling cream so I have major crunch on day 1 but I love crunch because I know that my wash n go is going to last! The styling cream has a really nice hold alone but I find it to pair well with a gel. It says to use it as a stand alone styler but I couldn’t do it I had lots of definition but I also had frizz so I added the gel on top and my hair is very moisturized, clumped, and defined with lots of hold.

Thanks for the combos. I stand by the ufd with wet line (no leave-in for me), and mielle under wetline is god too! I almost picked up big poppa today. Btw the foaming of the leavein is common for botanical based products!

Welcome back. UFD by itself gives me a full week wash-n-go. I've been thinking about trying Jello Shot, but based on your combos it will give too much hold for me. I know Wetline for sure gives too much hold for me no matter what type of leave-in and/or cream I try under it. I also like the Kinky Curly combo it's the first one I used in 2008 and still use it.

Hey Toni 🤗. I wouldn’t say that treluxe broke the cast. I had less of a cast but it was still there. Try using a cream and then a little bit of butter on top before adding the gel. That may help 😊.

I love the big poppa gel it was perfect for a winter wash n go but it has to be done in the shower on soaking wet hair to avoid the tacky feeling on the hair. For the summer my best combo to date has been the mane choice 3 in 1, big poppa (small amount) and sexy hair gel, this combo is absolutely amazing and has my wash n go lasting for a full 7 days through 5 days of working out and the sauna.

I have type 3 curls and I agree UFD curly magic is missing something, which for me it is SLIP and HOLD. I’m going to try some good creamy moisturizers like CR Curl Love or TGIN leave ins. I just mixed a TGIN Rose leave in and mousse with UFD Curly Magic inside the palm of my hand. It mixed well together, so hopefully I will get a bomb wash and go. I LOVE Jell-O shot also. It mixes well with so many leave ins and creams I’ve tried. I love Jello Shot + TGIN Rose Leave In, as my new fav combo.

Yes it should be fine as gel tend to last longer than most products. The smell and consistency should be your guide
I would check the smell and make sure you don’t see any mold. But it does concern be that it’s been out for a year lol. I hope you can still use it 💕
