I went to St Ives as a child but I forgot how beautiful it really is. Thank you so much for reminding me.
You are so welcome!
We were in St.Ives and other places in Cornwall several years ago. We have family living in Penzance and Marazion. Truly a beautiful place. Thanks for bringing back great memories! We will look for your other Cornwall videos.
Thanks so much
There’s a playlist on my channel if you want to have a nosey at my Cornwall ones - some amazing places to choose from
Loved this. My husband was born in South Devon, his mother was Cornish and he spent so much of his childhood in Cornwall fhat he just isn't interested in going back for a holiday. I would love to go to St Ives it looks magical, so thank you for taking me there.

You are always welcome Thanks.🇬🇧🤠🇬🇧
Great video thank you. The birds on the harbour are turnstones, so tame
Thank you!
Yes - just waddling around!
I’ve been to St Ives many times. It is my favourite place. Thanks for the lovely video, next time you go you must visit Porthmeor beach (especially at sunset) and walk round The Island, in my opinion the most scenic part of St Ives. Not been for 5 years and suffering from st Ives withdrawal symptoms! Glad to see the Beach Restaurant is still on the harbour - one of the best places to eat.
Yet one more good video. I think the birds are turnstones we saw them 5years ago at a visit.
I've been to St.Ives a few times and fallen in love with the town. Always been amazing weather when I have been there and had great times paddling followed by fish and chips on the seafront. Happy memories ❤
Perfect!
Been to St Ives before, its beautiful!
It is!
Great video, thank you! The little birds are Turnstones
Thank you - they fascinate me how they huddle and waddle around!
Me too! Hope you enjoyed your beer, well deserved for a great tour of beautiful St Ives.
Love St Ives 💜 I have a feather/ bird phobia but those turnstones are so cute; I like to think of them as hamsters with wings😂 it helps me enjoy watching them. Thanks for another great video
Hello, the little cute birds are turnstones, love st ives never been but want to
Thanks so much - I love those birds!
Once again to took me back to happy memories of being there with my sister who is no longer with us. Lovely memories thank you
It's my pleasure

Hope you make it - it's all here waiting for you!
I love your walking tours. Another great one. Thank you.
Thank you that means a lot ❤️
Lovely place, hard to watch though as my best friend died here back In 2016, he had a heart attack In the sea, I just wanted to see the place where he spent his last holiday.
Oh no - so sorry to hear that
@@GimbalWalkTV Thank you for this video, It gave me a kind of closure
When I last went to st ives was in 2021 . We are going to sennen cove Cornwall in July. And I carn't what to GO, we sued to go to And stay at bosshaven house Cornwall. AND that's a lovely b&b . Penzance is ALso a nice place to GO. There's SO menny it's hard to choose .TAKE care and all the best. 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Really enjoyed this. My parents loved it here and made the overnight drive down, every year for our holidays. Happy memories. If you do make a return visit you need to explore the back streets with all the old fishermens cottages, quite a few have unusual names. As for a boat trip, i strongly recommend a trip with Wavedancer which is owned by a good friend of mine who is one of the lifeboat crew and very knowledgeable about the area.
Many happy memories with my grandson. Thank you 😊 ❤ UK. Nice music whilst on the 'pier'.
Thank you 🙏
brilliant video, one of the best holidays ive ever had in st ives. been so many times for family vacations
Thanks so much
great place!
fabulous video thanx for sharing brings back lovely memories x
Thank you 🙏
I adore St Ives❤❤❤
You have great taste 👍
There on the 22 May. Stunning. But too many dogs on the beaches. Was shocked by that. No 🦭 any more. Guess the dogs scare them. Otherwise. Sunny day. Busy but it’s so so pretty as a town ! Fudge, ice cream and pasties to die for.
Such a busy place!
Hope the beer was nice and cold? The Sloop maybe, which is my favourite such a characterful pub, great restaurant upstairs,Captains Cabin. The Talay Thai is exceptional tasty food. For travel, forget the car,use the park and ride at St Erth and get on the train. For many the best most scenic section of railway in the country. Well done Neil!!
St. Ives looks so lovely but I'm guessing it's tourist hell in the summer months. Thanks for sharing, really great video! :)
Yeh I avoid it in summer - nightmarish!
A continent away on the Pacific coast we have small shorebirds called sandpipers that are closely related to your turnstones.
Judging by the work in progress at the Pednolva Olva Hotel, you filmed this the day before we arrived! The lovely little birds are called turnstones - I can watch them for hours. Thanks for a super video of one of my favourite Cornish places.
Thanks so much - lovely place isn't it!
Thanks for video I enjoyed it it's lovely loved the shops, buildings, scenery and especially the harbour and boats.did you enjoy your beer and Cornish pasty love your channel 😅🙏👍☀️⛵
Thank you
The beer and pasty were much needed!
Lovely place when did you film this i dont remember a day warm enough this year
Hi there,
Filmed this one last Saturday!
@@GimbalWalkTV Think i will move down there gives me a great excuse lol x
Can't believe how lucky you were with the weather
Neither could I
I had sunburn - not even joking
Got a great suntan!
Ps....you earned your pasty and beer, ooooo how idilic, nice. xxx
Loved the video, you fully deserved a pint, hope you enjoyed it. Was it filmed last year? Thanks. 😊👍🍺
Filmed last Saturday!
The weather down here has been amazing this last couple of weeks
great video. the only time i went to st ives, and cornwall at all for that matter, i has severe diahhrea from food poisoning and i remember pooing my pants and getting runny shit all down my leg! absolutely stank! had to go to a public toilet and shit even more then i threw my boxers away and went back to the bed and breakfast and showered. not a fun memory!
Oh no!!! 🤣
I went to St Ive’s 9 years ago, it was such a magical place, I haven’t been since due to poor health. I came with national express, it took 13 hours from Manchester, I hope to visit again in the next few years. 💛☀️🌴🐚
This is like me whenever I go on holiday 😂 I swear I can't eat or drink anything outside of my home town. And seafood - forget it!
I think Land's End is the most westerly point on mainland Britain not the most southerly ? Think the Lizard peninsula is most southerly ?
Ah you're right yes!!
Is Land's End or Lizard Point the most southerly point?
Lizard Point is the most southerly point of mainland Britain, however Land's End is the furthest point from John O Groats in distance, hence it tends to be the place most journeyed to.
St Ives is lovely....question :
When you are filming do you record your thoughts on a place while you walk around then put that in your subtitles or or put comments while editing....I really enjoy your commentary....it feels spontaneous...not like a documentary thank you 😊
Hey there
I add it all in during the edit ❤️
All the traffic spoils it for me.
There's no other way round St Ives than along the front I guess - the little narrow streets behind are just too tight for cars
You missed a whole beach! It’s called Porthmeor and it has the Tate gallery on its foreshore and is the main surf beach in the town.
I know
I lived there briefly (18 months) about 30 years ago, busy in summer to the point of being annoying just trying to get about doing day to day stuff, a whole different ball game in winter though. Would I go back? No thanks, I’ve found a less busy seaside town to live in without having to donate a kidney just for a deposit on a house.
😮😮😮😮
Watch out for the seagulls there vicious they will swoop down and nick your pastie.
ha ha yes they're DEMONS!!! 🤣
I've just got back from St.Ives and am baffled as to why you left out the wonderful cobbled lanes. The seafront is gorgeous but doesn't tell the full story.
That's because I filmed four videos - one of which is totally dedicated to the back lanes.
Be baffled no longer!
This one was a 'full seafront tour' hence the title of it!
Would prefer these videos if there was a spoken commentary
That's not what I do x
Nooooooooooooo
Would prefer these videos if there was a spoken commentary.
I dont' do that on this channel x
But then you wouldn't hear this sea and the seagulls, which is part of the charm
Please never do spoken commentary!
@@marzipom5630 I wont' don't worry!
