In this episode by JPthebeeman, he invites The Yappy Beeman to come down and have a little fun removing some very pissy bees. although the bees were mean, we had a blast filming this honey bee removal in the New Orleans area. It was a long process and we didn't think we would ever finish the job. The beehive in the wall was huge.

Guys, this one takes me back to the good old days of taking bees out of tool shed. I got the bees and had to clean up a hell of a mess on the ground. I was young and had more fun than the law would allow. Cheers, Bob

I love doing bee removals. our state allows beekeepers to remove hives without the licenses if we do not do repairs and have a licensed contract hired by owners to repair work. only repair work allowed is minor repair with no new materials. am glad to see more videos.

I'm curious , did the bees ever settle down from being so aggressive? This video was entirely toooooo entertaining. I love the way both of you work together.
+Lynn Etheridge they did settle down. I babysat them for about a week after the removal & they had settled down nicely. These wound up going to my buddy Schawee in the swamp. We'll see how they do this year once they come out of winter but I spoke with Schawee today & he didn't lose many colonies at all this winter & I know for a fact this one is doing well. Glad you enjoyed the video btw :-)
Nice to see a bee removal job where you don't treat it like a chop shop. So many removal guys want to hack into the structure then charge hundreds extra for "extraction repairs". Then when you say you will fix the holes yourself they don't even want to do the job anymore. Glad you guys treat it ethically. I know it is expensive enough as it is and at least you do what you can do respect the persons property and money.
When you have an overly aggressive hive, pinch the queen and replace.
Worked for me.
That job looked like a pain in the rear. These guys must really like making sure bees are able to live on. 💪

Yappy did 2/3 of the work and got the queen. JP provided smarts a plan and drove to Home Depot. BTW, I can't believe that house had a girder (or a floor joist??) touching the ground in N.O. Even if it was treated wood. A *FEAST* for termites!

Love watching your video's JP. I'm 30 miles east of Indy and always put out a big garden, this year had 3 or 4 tomato plants that produce no tomato's. Talk to a few people and was told "only" bubble bees pollinate tomato plants cause when they fan there wings it make a b flat sound ? Went on to hear not only are we loosing honey bee but all bees.
Nice video JP... Here (in Netherlands) it's still winter with cold weather and bees not really active yet... Can't wait though :) My bees are the gentlest bees in the world, but with rain in the air you won't wanna touch em with a pole if you had to!! Hope that this hive is an asset to your collection and they'll repay your handwith some honey ;)

I can't fault him for that entirely though seeing his parents hung a disco ball from the ceiling of his bedroom when he was just an infant. Rumor has it he grew up idolizing Donna Summer & ABBA. The latter having the most profound impact on his musical taste, dance moves.

Meadmaker 452 they almost always settle down once rehomed, at least for a while anyway.
I’ve had some that needed requeening but that’s seldom the rule.
I really like the way you work, all of the siding and ynderlayment is removed so you can reinstall it, You have all the tools to do the work which most poeple dont have.
