I owned both Sony and Soundcore speaker. I gotta say Soundcore have the volume and clarity, but Sony's delivers quality and comfortable sound. when listening to different genre of musics, I had to turn my Soundcore treble all the way down especially rock or opera kind of music, Soundcore's sounded so sharp and my eardrum hurts when listening to it. But Sony is softer and is good for long hours of listening experience.
I just can't wait to see what Soundcore has to offer with their future speakers, especially on the built quality and design. Trust me, if they can manage to improve their products to look better, they'll be the future overall winners. I just don't like the way the cheap plastic body and big handle look on the Soundcore Motion boom Plus compared to the Sony XG300 or JBL Xtreme 3. But they definitely have the best and loudest sound compared to the likes of Sony, JBL etc, besides offering very much reasonable price!
That motion boom mother can really make its presence felt, especially outdoors. When testing against many of my friends and fsmily's "branded, eminent" models it drowns them out. To the "deep bass" addicts: you will not be able to follow your bassline when boom plus screams over it.
Absolutely no contest, the Anker is in another league... I agree with you and I'm surprised it's so apparent just on my phone speakers. Love the motion boom plus!
Man, I was really rooting for the Sony but damn they just seem like the play it too safe and don’t let these speakers shine especially with the TOUGH competition out there! I just picked up the JBL Partybox 110 as my around the house speaker and I love it but I’m missing that compact size speaker to carry around and the Motion Boom Plus really seems like it’s going to fill that gap even though I would prefer the Xtreme 3 but for the price the Motion its the best bang for your buck!
Don't get Xtreme 3 if you love bass man, believe me, I have it. It doesn't have the bass it should have... But in audio quality it's unbeatable. Great for movies or listenin' to music but chill.

awesome review always!!! with a smile! my motion boom plus eats my sony xg500!! plus i got the tribit blast to, yeah man for the power,sound and wieght? the boom tough to beat bro. as far as big bass? thats tribit and jbl boombox country. my boom never give me trouble! after updates? and all no swollen radiators, i dont put none of my stuff in direct sunlight!! man that sun? lot hotter than we was kids!!!
The Sony has a warm sound signatureer but the soundcore murders this speaker I like the 300 but the motion boom plus is just unblevable indoors it brutally loud bass and highs are just outstanding it my favorite speaker I use it in my pool classes it fill it with ease all my students love this speaker it makes all the music sound great we love the 70’s music it’s outstanding on this soundcore it’s my main speaker company it’s just awesome 😊😊😊😊

I luv my Sony xg300 i use it mostly with my phone an tablet while watching Movies an Videos, Sony is the best for Movies and Videos because its Low latency, much better than other bluetooth speakers.'
The biggest difference between the two is that the anker is alot louder sense the xg300 is a 50 to 60 watt speaker while the motion boom plus is 80watts, but for sound quality the sony xg300 have a slightly better sound quality.
@@MikeMPharmaCyclist I have a anker motion plus now and its leagues better in sound quality compared to my xb23 and with the xb23 with my eq its maximum volume is like 80 to 85% volume on my motion plus and with the eq I have on the motion plus its about 70 to 75% to be the same loudness as my xb23
@@coolsquad7428 Nice man I was just looking for a new speaker and just got the Anker motion boom plus and have been super impressed with it especially for the price point. I ordered a charge 5 as well and it's nice that it's a little more compact and has nice looks but it's nowhere close in terms of some quality or battery life. Also no AUX port. Will be cool to see what anker brings to the market as the speaker evolves.

Sonys XB LINE WAS A TRUE COMPETITOR THEY SOUNDED GREAT but this XG and XE line no power no good sound what happened to SONY I love SONY PRODUCTS but they dropped the ball on these speakers the competition is tough.
Sony concentrates too much in built quality and design. They need to recall these speakers. They are trash compared to competitors. I’m sure the Soundcore motion + and Boom is louder and cleaner than that speaker.

I only just got the motion boom plus 2 days ago but so far I really like it. Been using it as a sort of sound bar substitute for my projector.

The Motion Boom Plus is just hard to beat at it's price. JBL definitely takes the build quality and deeper bass... it's just not as loud.
