For anyone interested in the exact math: He deals 268+501=769 attack damage. Including the critical strike, this means he deals 769*(1+0.3*1.25)=1057 attack damage on average. Buying a rapier would increase this to (769+200)*(1+0.3*1,25)=1332 damage while buying a daedalus increases to (769+88)*(1+0.3*1,25+0.3*0.7*1,25)= 1403. So the Daedalus actually increases the damage by 71 more points than the rapier. However, this is using a truly random crit chance. I dont know how the pseudorandom generator interacts with having multiple daedali, so the actual number might differ from that
love the turning point from "This is terrible, why is this the agility path?" to "I'm one-shoting people". imo an early/early-ish octerine would have been better over hex(not that hex was bad), reason being that even if you can't use it twice in battle, lowering the cooldown between battle to get caught out less, or even just for farming still would have been useful.
I feel like, something you really should've considered, is that, you can grab the "Become this primary attribute" thing from the other trees to become universal, and, I feel like this build as universal would be, absolutely broken strong, and, allow you to build anything you want, opening complete build diversity

Then the dmg with daedalus is:(x+88)×(1+.5×1.25)=1.625×(x+88) With rapier: 1.3125×(x+200). Setting both damages equal and rearrange you get x=(1.3125×200-1.625×88)÷(0.3125)=382.4 So if you have more than 382.4 damage, then get a daedalus as your third item, else get a rapier. This calc is different if you change the number of daedaluses you allready have
hmmm there's some correction to be made here. 1st daedalus on avg add 37.5% dmg 2nd daedalus on total avg add 63.75% dmg so when you already have a 1st Daedalus, and considering between DR or 2nd Daedalus, let x = attack damage before 2nd daedalus and DR we choose 2nd Daedalus when it gives more damage over DR which is expressed in this equation: (x + 88)(1.6375) > (x + 200)(1.375) we get x > 498.67 ~ 499 dmg so we should go for 2nd Daedalus instead of DR when the attack damage is already at least 500.
@@axleion wait im confused, why is the second not a 70% damage buff. Do they not stack additively meaning the second gives a 70=37.5×2 buff? Cuz dmg increase is just critchance×crit bonus dmg
@@juliang8676 the crit chance doesn't stack. instead, it rolled from the strongest multiplier to the weakest, and stop rolling on procs (see wiki for details). so at 1st daedalus, 30% chance to deal 225% damage 70% chance to deal 100% damage on avg, 37.5% damage increase. at 2nd daedalus, on one attack 30% chance to deal 225% damage (1st daed) 21% chance to deal 225% damage (2nd daed) 49% chance to deal 100% damage which gives on avg 63.75% damage increase. btw 37.5x2 is 75, still not the case here though 😃
about witch doctor, i was kinda maining him last half a year or so.. and he is strong as hell.. interestingly he was getting buffed pritty much every patch in that period

For two, +200 damage is relative wayyyyy more of a damage output increase at early levels than it is at later ones. Considering it doesn't drop on death, a Rapier first item would easily triple your overall rightclick output for most heroes. For three, the damage it gives can also crit- so having both it and daedulus is an extremely obvious combo that all right clickers should buy if all they need is maximum damage output.
