    Diff lock has a safety feature to prevent breaking the tractor. It can only be used while the wheels are straight. If you turn the wheel it will disengage, if you have the wheels turned, it won’t engage.

    Good review. We got the same model this past April and have about 130 hrs on it. Ours has been (and is currently) in the dealer shop multiple times. Got the Land Pride top & tilt kit installed for the 3 point, which we had significant drift down (both top link and tilt link) problems with. Our tilt steering wheel continually randomly pops out of position, which is one of the reasons it’s currently in the shop.

    Get yourself an ammo box, real to holes in the side of the ammo box and mount it to your bar on either side of the tractor. Just thought you’d like to know.

    For anyone loooking at the lx2610, please note: rearend is made of aluminum as well as most of the gear box. I higly recommend You check out the l2502 for $2500. It is heavier but the l2502 is pure metal. Hope this helps someone.

    Hello Tennessee Yankee. I really enjoyed your review. Same layout as our B2601, just a bit heavier and a bit more lifting capacity. Also, the same loves, and complaints. I put a little adapter on the treadle peddle, which allows me to put my toes under it when using reverse. It was a hugh improvement in comfort when using reverse. I think you were quite wise to add fluid to your rear tires when you bought your tractor. I recently did that to ours, and noticed a remarkable difference in the feel of the ride.Thanks , Ben

      Thanks for watching and for the great feedback, I was very intrigued by your treadle idea, so I looked it up on CZcams and low and behold Saw your video. Did you have to heat up that rebar that looks pretty thick?

      @whenworkisplay Před rokem

      @@TNYankee2020 Good morning Jeff, the rebar I used was 1/2 inch if you measure it at its widest point. I didn't have to heat it. I bent it in the vise using a length of pipe for extra leverage. I made the loop that goes over the peddle first. Hope this helps, Ben

    I went and bought that same John Deere filter and it did not fit in my tank. It was to big. I have a 2023 B2601, I guess it has a different cap than than LX model. Bummer.

    TY, Great video with a lot of tips and information. I will definitely invest in the gas tank screen as you stated there could be particles in the diesel or can. I have a 2610 as well and have had a couple of issues with the fuel cap. I have the cab model which has a high center of gravity so the wheel spacers are another great tip I must invest in. Thanks MM

    Hello there Tennessee Yankee, awesome review, great detail. The R14 are excellent tires, I have R4 on my tractor. What brand wheel spacers did you get? My range selector for the 3 point is doing the same. You've got to get yourself a spinner knob for your steering wheel, you'll be impressed with how well it works. I haven't cranked my throttle up that high before. l need to give it a try. Excellent tips. I agree that the steering wheel boot pops out to easy. My diff lock has never been an issue to depress. I use the Bx knobs to tighten my ROPS, since it tooless I can easily loosen them to put my ROPS down before parking in the garage. Recently my fuel filler cap has become a real pain to thread on as well. Great idea to have the ability to install a winch. I think I may set one up on the draw bar. You got that right, the oil dip stick is hard to find the 1st time. The brake and 3pt also have grease zerks. Keep on tractoring!

      Hey Paul, thanks for the comments. Yes I probably should get a spinner and second nature to me on my lawn tractor, but never really think about it much on this guy. I’m usually at the highest RPM every time I come up my hill and heavy lifting, I’d say I’m running max RPM about 30% of the time. So I looked up the wheel spacers on my invoice, and here is the number. B8785. They are 1 3/8”. Have a good week.

      @SNeal5966 Před 17 dny

      @@TNYankee2020 is yheu the 15-19 or 15-17 or whatever size rear? There are two rear tire sizes. On the new LX3520 and 4020 you can actually run a mid mower with the bigger rear tires. On the previous iteration only the smaller rears would work with mid mowers and that's why most dealers stock the smaller ones I think 🤔

    Nice review! I’m on the other side of the mountain from you (WNC) and bought a Yanmar. I loved the LX. On the topic of front spacers my thoughts are that since the axle pivots at the center I don’t believe you would gain much stability. My old B7100 HST went to my son after serving me perfectly for the last 30 years.

      @@TNYankee2020 my Kubota dealer (Asheville) told me that the LX with a mid-mount mower option wasn’t available without jumping to the 30hp model with the exhaust filter/regen and associated cost. The tractor was too big and too expensive for me. The B series has significantly less loader capacity than the red option and I really need that for the forks in my application. Too bad, I really like the dealer, they are great. So far so good! Keep up the good work on the videos.

    I am considering a Kubota LX2610SU I dont need the mid mount mower. but I want to have a bush hog, tiller, loader, generator, and chipper. I am not going with John Deere too much plastic and propriatary loader attachments. I want to put a main battery disconnect on it and put some work lights i may put a canopy on it also.

      You’ll be happy with it, I would’ve been OK with that as you but looking back it was six or $800 more for my model so I went with that obviously for the tilt steering the more comfortable seat and potential future resale value but I don’t think you can go wrong either way.
