These are the same MRE Wet meal Size Mylar bags that our owner Drew has been testing for 3 months with great success on his own weekly travels!
after testing many different types and different bags from different suppliers we found the quality and also the longevity of the bags used to store homemade MRE meals varied massively.
throughout this testing process these bags, have proven to be the most resilient to reuse, being carried in a pack for significant distances and reused a number of times before they start to wear out. Admittedly they are not the cheapest available but in our experience, we actually saved more money during the testing phase because they lasted longer than any others!
We also have many tutorials for recipes, tips, and tricks on how to get the most out of these bags in our blogs
16cm x 23cm stand up pouches, complete with ziplock and tear notch. Holds up to 350g in weight or 350ml of liquid. Can be used for health supplement tablets, herbs/spices, protein powders, etc

I use a chamber sealer so that no liquid comes out and then I pressure can for the same amount of time I do for jars.

Have a look at the funnels used for filling jam jars, they are wide-mouthed and should help keeping the seals clear.

I've never had chili and rice before, but it does sound good. I make all my own MREs, they are so much tastier and healthier.

@@jenniferhartjen1603 I think you may not have meant to make your comment to me. However, if you go to my CZcams channel you will see that I do provide the recipes for all of the MREs/Emergency food meals that I share.
