Always fun to see what new pokemon products come out
$60 is wild. My son is getting into pokemon cards now and he gets a $5 budget at Target so usually he gets a single pack. He always looks at the collection boxes or tins and wants those but we're trying to teach him about budgeting and saving. Problem is, for a young kid, saving for 12 weeks for something like that is hard to wrap your head around.
They're probably banking on the fact that obsidian flames pull rates are crazy. Might as well put a picture of the Charizard card on the box and say "You might pull one of these!"
It's not insane or I just don't have good luck because I opened a entire trainer box and only got 1 good pull which was a full art poppy trainer card

I have to say; I was tempted to buy this because of Gardevior but it was just too pricey. Maybe that’s what they bet on. 🤷🏼♀️
This feels like the kind of box they're planning to drop in price for Black Friday. It hit shelves early so people will keep them in mind, and then they can drop it to like 30$ which is a price point that makes way more sense.
Even though 60 is a steep price, I always enjoy browsing the stores in person to see what they have.

Whether or not the box ends up being worth $60, I'm just surprised to see Gardevoir and Magnezone, two Pokémon I really like, featured in a box together like this despite having pretty much nothing in common.

Best value I've found recently was at Costco. It's a scarlet and violet etb with two PokeBalls together. Cost is 45 bucks, which is the general cost of the etb by it's self. Picked two up for my kids

Not worth MSRP but you can expect more coming from the Pokémon Company. As supply is abundant of Scarlet and Violet, they need to add variety to move product off the shelves.
This is like alotta the “exclusive” boxes - crazy high price for little “exclusive” value. GS eevee collection, Amazon arceus vstar, Best Buy had one too. I just don’t see the value either. The last one they had though the vmax dragons box / that one I feel hit the value mark.

I was going to buy the Evolving Powers box til I saw how crappy it was and that $60 price tag. Cool to own for the collection but definitely when the price drop hits or something. The battle decks though, are really cool actually. I love the design.

I saw this box the other day and I think it's actually a really cool idea but I honestly can't justify it being $60. Mostly because in this economy it's already hard to keep up with the hobby, but aside not being able to afford it I wouldn't mind seeing more boxes like this in the future for a more affordable price.

Man, that is the craziest luck to get that special illustration rare charizard. I wish I had pulled that when i Bought this box myself. It would have made it more worth it for me. But overall I agree that this box is definitely not worth it, especially compared to the Dragons Box Target had last year. This Box was announced when they announced either Obsidian Flames or 151, I forgot which set, but for the number of packs and price, wish they put in more SWSH packs just to make up for the cost.

The one who is only satisfied with admiring and disliking these expansions in each opening is a swing of fun and relaxation, because you can only see and not have❤😂.Each expansion that comes out surprises although for collectors who love to collect the value this second I would be one of them if I could 😂😂😂. You can get an OBF booster box for under $100 if you're trying to complete a set or get another shot at pulls.
