Star Maps! I think the 1st two areas you went into, the shapes or divots in the floor is for a star map. In the divots you can put water or mercury, or jewels, or any material that can reflect. The two boxes, one on each end is to heat up material to put into the divots, or to hold water, or to build small fires so the fire light reflects across the floor. But I believe it’s a star map of what ever they saw in the night sky outside.
If you could get close with the camera and look for a random mineral deposit. That would be visible in the granite and would give clues to either geopolymer or natural block. Concrete would be a crushed aggregate and would all look the same color with mineral being same size and randomly placed. A magnifying glass or even a pocket Microscope would work.

Between volcanoes, gigantic tsunamis and sinkings, it would have disappeared a very advanced civilization. Therefore, would there be a hypothesis that the Ellora site should be placed in this context? Maybe it was the famous Universal Flood that swept away all the debris from the rock processing?
