So glad you enjoyed the book. Have you read her The Watchmaker of Filigree Street yet? I thought that the Bedlam Stacks showed a lot more maturity than The Watchmaker of Filigree Street (which was her first novel). I have yet to read The Lost Future of Pepperharrow but am looking forward to it on the very long list.
From Watchmaker - “Everybody, professors and students and Proctors the same, knew that if the sign said 'do not walk on the grass', one hopped. Anybody who didn't had failed to understand what Oxford was.”

Haha, I love that! I just collected my copy of Watchmaker. 😁 I‘m very intrigued by the kraken on the spine.
