- The remaining part of #Hazara_Motorway (80 km Mansehra to Thakot section) has been completed and inaugurated by provincial government in July 2020. It is now open for traffic per protocols of motorways and national highways of Pakistan. 8 hours journey from Islamabad to Thakot has now been reduced to only 3 hrs. Earlier this 220 km travel from Islamabad to Thakot used to take 8 hours approximately and we used to pass through the main bazars of every city on the way. Now all those cities like, Shinkiari, Bafa, Battal, Chattar Plain and Batgram are bypassed that of course is a great achievement of Pakistan government and relief to the people travelling to Swat, Kohistan and Gilgit Baltistan. No doubt, this is the most beautiful motorways of Pakistan having valleys, rivers and lush green mountains on its both sides throughout the journey. This is a part of #CPEC and comes under direct route from China to Gawadar through world's highest international border, Khunjerab pass. The motorway from #Hassan_Abdal_to_Thakot has six lanes from Hassan Abdal to Havelian, four lanes from Havelian to Mansehra and two lanes from Mansehra to Thakot. It has total six tunnels, two at Abbotabad, one each at Mansehra, Karmung, Battal and Thakot having longest tunnel at Battal with a length of 2.9 km. The motorway all the way from Hassan Abdal to Thakot has two service areas one each at Mansehra and Kooza Banda. Thanks to the government of Pakistan and the crew who constructed this lovely and difficult part of Karakoram highway and facilitated the people of this region, trade with china and tourism in whole this region and Gilgit Baltistan.

No doubt this is the most beautiful and stunning Motorway section so far in Pakistan...and other section will use this as a benchmark. Green wooded mountains, clear blue skies and greenery makes it all dreamlike.
Tunnels are engineering marvel, the most expensive and difficult part of this motorway, should have been shown full. But the video is amazing, full marks here.

بہت زبردست ٹوور کیا آپ نے۔۔۔۔ 165 کلومیٹر میں سے تقریباً 25 کلومیٹر ہی خراب ہے، باقی پھر بھی ٹھیک ہے۔ اگر ساری قراقرم ہائی وے ہزارہ موٹر وے کی طرح بن جاۓ ہو ٹوور میں تو وارے نیارے ہو جائیں۔
مجھے نہیں لگتا کہ ڈیم بننے سے پہلے روڈ بن جائے۔ مگر آپ نے ٹھیک کہا بن جائے تو ٹوئر کا مزہ آ جائے
