Obito was like Naruto he held the same naive belief that he could be Hokage and protect everyone and at this moment reality cruelly came crashing down. And unlike Naruto who was surrounded by people who supported him when Neji died but Obito was alone the only answer to his pain being Madara telling him how he could prevent that tragedy from every happening again and that everyone could be happy.
