      and for the very problem you have with the 2.5 gallon ( i'm watching the video ), that's why i bought another 5 gallon with 2 handles ( from amazon ) for mix, too. i go through mix quick enough that it's not sitting around forever. i hated the handle situation on the 2.5 too. i think i even sent them a message about it.

    I am a landscaper and do hundreds of properties. The new sure can is trash. You would rather lift a sure can above your head to fill up your trimmers vs tip the no spill on its side next to your body like it's suppose to and watch the tank. I use the no spill with the second handle. The sure can is hard to fill, the gas cap cover falls off, no fuel sight, super slow and spills gas all over unless you let off ten seconds early. I filled up my scag and it takes a month of Sundays.

    The no spill is very very good. I've had mine for maybe 2years. I've been rough on it at times but it's still good as new. That little tiny issue of tilting the tank up and over is so not a issue at all. Trust me out of the 2gallon tanks no spill wins hands down. I love mine. I can see it lasting 10 20 years. Less moving parts. Everything on the no spill Is solid. The sure can is a little more delicate because of the moving parts.The ure can Is easier to see how much gas is in them. That's one advantage the 2gallon sure can has but other than that no spill 2 gallon wins. But when it comes to the 5gallon I say sure can wins.

But like I said it's truly a personal preference.

    I really like my VP Racing motorsport fuel jugs especially when paired with the LC2 (fly racing) hose bender. I first saw these at my local motorcycle shop and they have served me well. Only "downside" is they are not CARB/EPA approved and only available in 5 gal; although there are now also VP branded surecans.

  •  Před 5 lety

    Not for anything, but you can fill your car with a no-spill. I know because I just filled our landscape truck with it. The spout head swivels, so you can turn the can sideways or upside down so the gas will pour completely out. We use no-spills for landscaping and love them. I will, however, be trying out the Surecan because I like what I see. Thanks for posting.

    I agree that No-Spill is difficult when its low on fuel, the cap lock is also a PITA. For me, the difference was the cost of the Sure-Can vs No-Spill. 2-gallons might last me a month, its no big deal. No-Spill works great on my push mower and it holds a quart, its not like filling a commercial mower.

    I haven't used a sure can, so I can't say one way or the other which is best? But I do have a no spill that I use to fill my lawn mowers and chain saws and I love the can. On my ridding mower I put my foot up on either the mower or on a tire and let the can rest on my knee while filling the mower and it's very easy to fill the mower. No muscle strain at all. Still, I wouldn't mind trying the sure can. except I've seen quite a few reviews saying they have problems with them leaking and that's a big concern to me. My no spill never leaks! Regardless it's a personal preference, suppose it could be even what your use to using. Once you figure out the best easiest way to hold your cans while filling your equipment, it's hard to switch to another can that don't work the same way. the learning process starts all over again and many people don't want to learn another way and that irritates people

  • @bryangrim6021
    @bryangrim6021 Před 2 lety

    You make good points. Just that everyone’s application is different. I have BOTH of these systems for different reasons. Like you, I feel the sure-can is better for most mower fill ups. I was however disappointed one time with how it imploded on itself when left mostly empty. It did eventually take its original shape back, and the company says this is “normal“ but I still don’t like that. I know what happens to a material when you bend it back and forth enough times in ways it wasn’t designed to do. Anyway, it works well. I like the No Spill in the 2 1/2 gallon, just like yours, for resting on top of a generator and only using one finger on the push button to fill. For any long term power outage gas storage, I have no replacement to the old fashioned metal Jerry cans. Best design ever. All three have a purpose at my place.

      @LanierLawnCare  Před 4 lety +1

      John Padilla Thanks for watching and commenting. The auto stop feature you speak of and they advertise never worked. I was told it was possibly because I was using the can for mixed fuel? Not sure what the reason is behind it never working but it still started leaking gas within a month out the spout without touching the button release. Either way I wasn’t buying another can to see if it did the same thing. Your definitely correct that no spill does have the better flow rate. I purchased 1 gas can to review and maybe I got a bad one. I reached out to the manufacturer several times about the issue before I ever released a video with no response. So this is what my personal experience was.

    No Spill Gets A+
    Before switching companies. We used at least 20 No Spill gas cans. (2) 2.5 gal. and (1) 5 gal. were kept on each truck and used daily for 3 years. The cans were not treated delicately by any means, not a single problem occurred with any of the cans. I just replaced every metal can at my new company with No Spill. I would recommend them to any one looking for a superior and efficient gas can. You should never leave any gas can out it direct heat. If you choose to buy one you will quickly see any trouble you may have will be contributed to user error. Safe, efficient, durable, ergonomic. No Spill gets an A+.

I bought 2 new sure cans and only used 1 and they both went into the trash can. One was never used and into the trash and they cost way too much . So the bottom line is some like the sure can and some hate the sure can. I have the no spill with the handle on the back. As far as filling the car the car has a gas gauge the E on the gas gauge does not stand for ever lasting it stands for EMPTY fill the car or truck up at the gas station . remember gas gauges don't always work or are inaccurate. I have a dodge the fuel gauge been replaced 3 times and it still doesn't work right. The guage sticks in different positions all the time. It can say 1/4-1/2 full and be dry as a bone! In other cases, like people that go playing up in the mountains 4 wheeling, their vehicle may not hold enough fuel to go everywhere and there's no gas stations anywhere! You best have your gas cans full with you or your not going to be coming home anytime soon! So it's not just a matter of watching your gas guage, there's certain situations where you end up with a empty tank you weren't planning for!

    Why don't you hold the no-spill can upside down if it's nearly empty??
    The spout is sealed tight anyway.. you don't have to hold it upright to work.

    • @LanierLawnCare
      @LanierLawnCare  Před 6 lety

      Stijn Vandamme it leaks out the cap without doing anything and if holding upside down as it comes out the spout it’s pouring gas all over from leaking lol. The no stop feature never worked.

    • @stevecarr1992
      @stevecarr1992 Před 4 lety +2

      I bought one last month. Haven't used yet, but not anticipating taking that lock safety feature off. As for making a vent, can't one just loosen the black cap a bit, to get all the venting you would ever want or need? Watched a video where someone was talking about drilling a hole to get more air, and putting a car tire valve in, and have to take the little cap off all the time, and probably drop or lose all the time. Isn't it easier to just spin the big cap a little, saving a lot of hassle? Was telling the salesman at Lowe's about the guy wanting to drill a hole, and he agreed, just spin the cap a little.
