- Ready or not, we're embarking on a food adventure through the streets of Taoyuan, Tawian! We eat Savoury Soy Milk with Egg (dou jiang - 豆漿), Soup Dumplings (xiao long bao - 小笼包), Egg Tart (danta - 蛋挞), and Savory Rice Pudding with Pork (tongzhi mi gao - 筒仔米糕). My college friend Chi Chi gives us a tour of Shung Fa, her family's herbal medicine shop. Watch the travel vlog to see the action unfold! :)

We use a lot of saffron in Arabic cuisine and part of our daily tea. Here's a tip: boil normal black tea with cardamom pieces, sugar and few pieces of saffron. A real tea Game Changer!

Wow... that pork rice and savory soup looked good. I'm going to need an herbal goodie bag too because im like Almas Beluga Caviar to mosquitoes. Like if I'm outside no one gets bit, but me. I was literally standing next to someone. And we were watching the mosquito looking for a place to bite them on the their arm after landing and then mosquito just took flight again and stung me.
Lol! Just casually drop that bomb of sleeping in a love hotel.

Hi! I have a question. I was wondering, when you Vlog inside stores or restaurants, do you need to ask the owners permission? Also, do you need to ask if it's okay if you film them? Sometimes I see when you film in public certain people are blurred but others are not. Is that because they tell you not to film them? Just curious because I am looking to start my own channel soon and I want to respect people's privacy. :) thank you!!! You're so great!!!

Thanks for yet another great video. I was eating while watching this video and spluttered my food twice!! Once when you references ChiChi's hair and again when you popped that dumpling in your mouth. I could see that coming but still it cause a splitter at this end too.

FYI I did a little research and it turns out Chi Chi pronounced 筒仔米糕 in Taiwanese Hokkien as ‘tâng-á-bí-ko’ (0:20) and commonly named Tube rice pudding in English. I searched ‘tongzhi mi gao’ and the results were refering to this video, not the food 😄✌🏻

I love Taiwanese Foods,especially the sweet sausage,I really Missed it.I work in Chungli city,Taoyuan shien. then in Pingtung and Taipei :-) that's why i'm very Familiar with the Taiwanese Foods.I also miss the Night market.If given a chance i'd like to Tour again in the future :-)

UGHH WHY AM I TORTURING MYSELF. Haven't gone to China in 3 years(usually family goes every other year...T^T) but looking at all these nostalgic Asian food is killing me! I hope to visit South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore when I am old enough to travel and pay....too much pure gold (food and culture lol) that shouldn't be left behind and not discover and to experience! ^^ **also that soup spitting was literally me when I ate them for the first couple of times... and mine were freshly hot! So it made it worse, soup everywhere aiyaiyai...**
