PFTs, ECGs, Blood gas lab, even the occasional Holtor monitor! Anyway, your videos are gold. Thanks for the refresher and keep up the good work!

@@RespiratoryCoach this has practice exam?
Thnx💖
Thanks for your videos.. what study guide would you recommend to study for the RPFT? Thanks.
Kettering
Never heard the acronym cbabes what does that stand for? You’re
my hero btw
Cystic fibrosis
Bronchiectasis
Asthma
Emphysema
Bronchitis (chronic)
Look at the first letters going down. Thanks for watching and commenting with your question. You're my hero!
Respiratory Coach oh ok that’s brilliant ty! I’m taking the TMC next month and your channel has been amazing for review thanks for everything!
Patient 3 why we didn’t say he has both obstructive and restrictive? Because both ratio and FVC are out of normal
Thank u, but , can u pls! explain whats the interpretation if the FVC is normal,Fevi is decrease but the FEV1% IS INCREASE? pls thank u
Please explain ETS cycle
Hey Ash! Honestly, I can't do any better job than this guy. Hope it helps.

@@RespiratoryCoach thnx
If I’m taking a PFT and I’m feeling ok that day.
And if I took aPFT while having an asthma attack.
Wouldn’t that make the numbers very different?
Absolutely the results will vary!
What if you already cant breath out of your nose and you have to take this test and you get winded just drinking water, what does this tell you and will i do good at test
I couldn't say without without performing the test. A good PFT Technician can get valid test results from the most severe patients.
Hi there i have question i had a patient with a change of FEV1 by 40% post bronchopneumonia! Is that possible or this is a malfunction of the machine it self but i do calibration daily
Bronchodilator *
I was just wondering if the loops in the pft and in mechanical vent are somewhat related with each other.
100%. A flow-volume loop is a flow-volume loop. A scoop on the flow-volume loop equals obstruction. Obviously, more problems may exist with an ett, secretions, biting, etc, but you get the point. Right?
@@RespiratoryCoach i know that for obstructive the problem is the flow and for restrictive the problem is the volume. Also if i am correct, the graphics (inhalation, exhalation) you see in pft is opposite on what you see in the vent.
@@yugioh2463 That's correct, but only opposite in that in the vent expression is on the bottom of the graphics, where it is on the top of the flow-volume loop during a PFT.
Isn’t patient 3 both obstructive and restrictive since the FVC is less than 80% and FEV1/FVC ratio is also less than 70%? You said he’s just obstructive
not all heroes wear capes but the good ones wear scrubs xD
Yes 🤣
A scoop of poop... No wait, a scoop in the loop. Got it 👍😁
Hey Michael. How you been? Glad to see you on the channel.
God please me help me. It is still not clicking.
Thank you
