In new universe 3, the only change is that
    Pucci never existed meaning:
    •Part 1 & 2 are completely unchanged since
    he wasn't even born yet.
•Part 3 should be relatively unaffected since
the only important difference would be that
Dio would have never shared the Heaven Plan
    with anyone else.
•Part 4 should be completely unaffected
since Pucci had no influence to speak of in
Morioh. (There is the argument that maybe
Jolyne could visited Morioh with Jotaro but
that has little evidence to support it.)
•Part 5 should be unaffected since Pucci
never met Giorno nor has any ties to
    Passione.
    •Part 6:
Without Pucci there wouldn't have been much
of a threat towards Jotaro's family so....
    Healthier relationship with Jolyne. >
    She never became a troublemaker(probably).
She never had been in a relationship with
    Romeo. >

If you are confused or would like an in-depth explanation about the ending of Stone Ocean, then PLEASE READ. I hope this helps :)
When Pucci dies the rest of this universe that he created using Made In Heavens complete control of gravity ability is erased along with Pucci. A new universe is created in its place, and all living things are thrown back into it, as well as the previous dead people (this happens due to Pucci no longer being able to control what is transported to the next universe because he is dead). Only Emporio truly understands what happened. Since Jolyne, Jotaro and their crew all died their souls are now placed into this "new" universe free from Pucci’s influence. They all are living happy lives. Ermes’s sister is still alive, Wether report is not a husk of his former self without his memories anymore, Anisui is dating Irene (Jolyne) and is about to mary her with Jotaros permission, and most importantly Jolyne and her father Jotaro have a loving relationship. These may not seem like our former characters but they are, in spirit. These are there souls living better lives. It’s also important to note the reasoning behind Jolyne having the new name of Irene. All of parts 1-5 still play out along with those original characters. All of the main JoJos inherit the JO in their names because they are "Fated" to fight evil because that’s part of the Joestar bloodline curse. With Pucci not existing, Jolyne has no need to fight the curse anymore as she no longer has the "Jo" in her name. She gets to live a peaceful life, and is not bound to that cursed fate anymore. And thus her name is Irene, signifying the "end" of this epic battle between good and evil.
Sadly In the end, Emporio is the only one who remembers what happened during Stone Ocean, and the journey him and his friends went on. He unknowingly sacrificed his own happiness for his friends. It’s a bittersweet ending, but an amazing one.

@@Deros_ Araki has stated stated that Irene has Jolene’s "love and feelings, as they became something eternal." Since this universe is just one where Pucci doesn’t exist, it wouldn’t affect the other parts. The people who were affiliated with Pucci, and died by him before the rest were born again with better lives. Pucci stated that the dead could not be brought over because he weeded them out of the cycle. With him dying he dose not control the reset anymore, and fate would play it’s corse again simply without Pucci’s influence. Also the end credits show all of the parts up to 6, where part 6 has Irene’s life instead of Jolyne. The only thing that didn’t happen was Part 6.

    @SteelBallRun1890 Před rokem +38

For people confused, the universe just entered a third reset (or a runback if you want).
    - The key things to note here is that Pucci's universal reset was unfinished, he needed to complete a full cycle for his new world to stick. Which means he needed to go full circle to Cape Canaveral where he activated MiH to close the loop, it's why he bargained with Emporio that he would gladly die but ONLY AFTER the Cape Canaveral event, because if he died mid-reset, this whole process cancels out and everything he did would be for nothing.
    - Stone Ocean crew's souls.
Pucci said that in MiH's world, the people who died during the reset will not be brought over. Jolyne, Jotaro, Annasui, and Ermes died during that time and so their souls are gone, but replaced with different people to account for them. Hence why Discount Jotaro and Jolyne were present in the visiting room but they're not "them" shown by looking different and having different motifs (Jotaro's star is badly drawn, and Jolyne has a hornet motif rather than a butterfly).
    - The universe after Pucci is defeated is largely unchanged. From what I understood of it, everything that happened from Parts 1-5 still happened, it's just mainly the Stone Ocean crew's lives that are changed because the universe had to account for their lost souls being brought back and being given better lives. So while this isn't Jolyne or Annasui or Ermes, etc. they are them symbolically, their souls are back, and that's why showing Irene's Joestar birthmark is important, it's them, even if they're different people.
What of Pucci? Well depends on how you wanna see it, some people say he's erased from the world and that's why Part 6 doesn't happen. Another thing could be that he does still exist in the world but he's not a threat anymore or his life goes on a direction that never leads him to where he was in the old universe. Maybe Perla didn't die, maybe he became a successful priest in his town, it doesn't matter.

Pucci's goal was to have everyone live in a universe in which everyone knows their own fate, since his sister Perla died due to fate's unpredictability. What he meant by "Everything I've accomplished will be undone" was that no one would know their own fate, which is what happened when Emporio killed him, since a third universe was created where everyone he killed came back as different people and he never existed.

    • @SteelBallRun1890
      @SteelBallRun1890 Před rokem +20

It's not that Perla died due to fate's unpredictability, it's that Pucci wanted people to be prepared for the future. The future brings about the good and the bad and most times people aren't ready for what happens, so Pucci's heaven is the belief that people persevere if they knew what comes next.
The irony is that Pucci himself was unprepared for his own hardships, he thought himself invincible once he defeated the Joestars and his fear of knowing Emporio escapes Cape Canaveral made him stop his own acceleration mid-process because he couldn't bear having the fear of the unknown that is Emporio, looming over him in his new world.

I always thought the world Pucci wanted to create was related to him battling anxiety. Even the way he calms down, by counting prime numbers, is to battle anxiety. So if he knew everything that would happen in the new universe, a lot of his anxiety is taken away. Like for example, when having a panic attack, you might feel overwhelmed to the point you think you're going to have a heart attack and die. However, if you knew you won't die, due to knowing the future, you will know longer have this feeling of despair.

Pucci's plan was to give everyone the ability to know and accept their fates basically a world where you would be born knowing how you were going to die. I imagine he was driven to the viewpoint that this would be an ideal world due to what happened between him Weather and Perla.

  • @BlazingAuras

    Everything wasn't for nothing.
Basically the ending is that Pucci doesn't exist anymore in the final universe. Everyone that died in the Made In Heaven reset (Jotaro, Jolyne, Ermes, Anasui) get replaced or reincarnated into people that wouldn't get in Pucci's way. When the universe reset again when Pucci died Everyone still got reincarnated into new people but it's bittersweet because they're basically the Part 6 cast with better lives without Pucci. It's just that none of them know emporio and the real ones that he grew to know died.
So all in all, the Joestars still exist, Parts 1 to 5 still happend, Part 6 gets erased from the timeline since Pucci doesn't exist anymore and everything he did was undone. The part 6 cast get reincarnated into people with better lives but they still died which kinda makes Emporio feel whole and alone at the same time. Puccis and DIOS Heaven goal was for everyone to know their fate so they can live happy lives (their vision of heaven), but it's a bad idea because they have to kill the Joestars to do it and not everyone is gonna agree with their goal.
Part 7 to 9 of JoJo are a reboot and take place in a different continuity. So just so you aren't confused Part 6 is the end of the original story and Part 7 to 9 take place in a COMPLETELY UNRELATED Universe that has NOTHING to do with Part 6 Ireneverse.

To answer the dudes question in the end, Pucchi's plan was to reset the universe, meaning he was trying to accelerate time aka accelerate the entire timeline of humanity so that when the universe reset, everyone who survived when he accelerated time would have basically lived through their lives already, and they would subconsciously know what would happen in the future of their lives in the new universe because they technically lived through it in the previous universe. Also Pucchi did die. When he died, Made In Heaven died so its ability perished so that's why that new universe opened up where it's just the same first universe that we all know except Pucchi never existed. So, part 1-5 still happened and existed and no one changed in those parts. Just the events in part 6 got changed. It's basically the same JoJo universe except if Pucchi never existed. That's why this new Jolyne is not in prison, she's with Anasui, she has better relationship with father, etc.

Not to detract from your emotions, but you are missing the forest for the trees imo. Also a bit late for this comment but here are my thoughts regardless. And again, this is just my opinion:
Pucci’s motivation was to restart the universe so everyone could understand their future before it happened and prepare. To him, this is not only ideal but necessary. After the traumatic event in the past that led Pucci to seek DIO (The terrible incident with his sister having an unintended incestous relationship with Weather, and then the horrifying KKK lynching that let to the sister dying), Pucci got to the conclusion that if he had known from the beginning, he could’ve stopped all of that.
So that’s his drive now: To make everyone alive experience the rebirth of the universe so they know what’s going to happen in advance once they “restart”. To him, there can be no pain because you already know what’s coming. That is the ideal version of heaven to him and DIO.
Now, the ending: Even though I agree it’s sad that “version” of the crew is gone, I don’t understand the people that say this ending makes everything mean nothing.
The whole point of this restart is to give everyone a happy ending. The entire group is alive even though they died previously, so we can infer everyone has come back. Not only that, their lives now that they aren’t influenced by DIO, Pucci and/ or the Joestar curse; are much better. We can see this mainly with Jolyne and Anasui, who now go by Irene (hey, no more Joestar curse! Also she has a healthy relationship with Jotaro) and Anakiss (was that his name? I forgot ngl. He got his wish of being with Jolyne and also get out of jail).
But this ending doesn’t come from nowhere, it’s *earned* thanks to the the culmination of everyone’s trust and memories.
Thanks to the sacrifice of everyone and Emporio they were able to change their fate. Heck, it was literally a string of trust that led to what can be interpreted as a happy ending for every character (even those in parts 1-5) Anasui sacrifices himself -> which in turn makes Jotaro be able to save Jolyne -> which leads to Jolyne sacrificing herself to save Emporio -> And concludes with Emporio using the will of Weather to defeat Pucci and give everyone the ending they could’ve never attained in their original stories. And it happens because Emporio *remembers* them despite the crew no longer existing anymore. Heck, Weather’s stand is what kills Pucci even though, again, Weather no longer exists.
Like I’m sorry, if that “meant nothing”, I have to wholeheartedly disagree. It’s literally thanks to everyone’s sacrifice and their previous existence that we got this. And it’s sad and bittersweet, yeah, but it’s not meaningless. It’s earned and full of meaning.
