Contender Ltd. was started in 1995 as a home video company in UK. It was acquired by E1 Entertainment in 2007. On 16th March 2009, the company rebranded with the new name E1 UK. It is known for making DVD's and VHS's of Peppa Pig, Tractor Tom, Art Attack, New Police Story, The Story Makers, and others.

I remember the 2000-2006 logo being shown before really early season 1 dvds of peppa pig episodes.
2000-2006 logo has got to be the best out of them all I had alot of peppa pig dvds when I was little and remember the intro from muddy puddles flying a kite and new shoes
This company is essentially Medusa Home Video/Communications - many of the same executives and they bought out Medusa in the early 2000s. Think they even have the same London offices, even now as eOne.
The 2005-09 logo brings back the nostalgic memories of watching Peppa Pig on DVD… 🥹
1. On a grey-white gradient background, a dark red square is seen inside a frame, representing a stop button on a VCR. The frame then flash to change it to a pause button, then to a play button, and finally to a fast forward button. One of the arrows on the button slides to the right before the text "contender" in a strange font with a shadow effect fades in and the button fades out.
2. A row of blue stars zoom out with reflection of red eagle with comets and other stars. The view changes and eagle is drawn with L-shaped ledge and dash. The view changes to normal and many lines form the rest of the name and bottom name appears with connecting effect. A ripple forms URL and star spins with a flash.
3. We see a blue skyline with water below, and London's recognizable buildings on the landmark side (including the London Wheel). Then an orange sun-like star rises beyond the wheel and camera zooms in. We pass the buildings and the star flashes into the whole screen, then collapses into the print red star with circle. Below, "CONTENDER" is seen and "FILMS" or "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" under it.
2000-2006 logo is my favourite.
Contender is known for creating Season 1 of peppa pig.

Yeah, his video on Contender had the intro and then seconds later we got the first logo. Like seriously? We know you used that logo, you don't need to put your intro and have this logo crawl up after the important text that is scrolling up the screen just to be reminded of wgat you are using as the intro music, TR3X!

If i have to be bold, the second Contender Entertainment Group logo did not feel like Contender. It felt like if they used that logo for DVD releases of anime... it felt rather anime-like... much likr Totally Spies. Hmm...
