I liked playing as Captain Squawk, heck I was crazy enough to bring him into a super speed mystery portal event back then and got the most kills out of it, but I agree that the Flem thrower is weak and quick scoping is more effective than the close range weapon.
am i the only one to knows you can spam the fire button to make his primary hit faster?
same with AC parry.
try it and you'll be killing people way faster then normal. AC parry's primary does 12 damage. hes insane with this glitch
squak becomes usable.
I'm aware of that glitch, but no, that's dishonorable, I prefer trying to quick scope.

A strategy I like to go with is to use the flem then when I am almost out of it, I immediately press the left trigger for the instant scope boost of damage to finish them off.

No he wouldn't, with his recoil and giant cross hairs, you still have to wait for the reload.
Plus soon as you get the reload upgrade he basically destroys basically everything definitely one of my favorite variants

Squawk in my opinion is the least versatile pirate but one of the best pirate snipers. Pirate sniping abilities were boosted in BfN and his sniper attack has the same mechanic
1:12 it’s moments like these that make Squawk the most fun pirate to play, where you just nail all the shots, best feeling is sniping a leaping corn

Squawk is good in Turf and Soil, because he’s a full on sniper character. Even though his damage output is kinda shit, but the best way to use him is to find a spot where plants can’t get to you in time. And he’s good in soil because there’s just not enough players to kill him with the pirate abilities and his primary anyway.

Brandon Allard yeah, reload + damage upgrade. Also I don’t think you need to wait for the bloom to close in to fire again. Its just easier to hit things when the cross hair is together

Even before he can do so much burst damge he's great for being a support sniper
He's not getting kills but he's getting assist
I play a back line style I tend to stay alone and use stuff like the pea shooters or engineers Specifically electrician to provide pressuring fire on my enemies I don't do the msot damge but they have to recognize me as a threat becuase I mainly attack them during fights when they are more grouped together
It works great especially on that one map with the giant wall
I can stand behind houses and jsut sorta spam the points
I end up getting really only assists but those assist add up to me having a big impact

Honestly, I like captain squawk. A one-shot sniper character feels quite satisfying when you play him. I don’t think he’s the worst though. :( (But if you don’t like him that’s fine)

tylazer MK he’s actually good in the right hands, like a dedicated camper. What I did was play like he was camo cactus until I got his overheat and overheat penalty upgrades, and then I began playing like petrified cactus

Most people don't really try flameface once you start playing him he's pretty good

3:20 No, you killed an Agent Pea who has 100 health. A direct shot plus toxic does 50 damage, which is just about enough for a shared
Personally I think captain squawk is one of the better pirates from my experiences with him when he first came out I got my highest kill streak of I think 48 with him without any upgrades. I just personally find him one of the better pirates

I think making captain squawk a legendary and giving his new mode a bigger ammo clip with faster shots would be really cool. Kind of like how Iron citrons mode work
Capt. Squawk tip: at close range, hold down rt to line up the shot, then tap lt to finish them off!
At close range you might as well just quickscope

A Trick i used to use when playing squak is for when someone gets up close i start using the flem thrower then before it overheats i zoom in and try to get a shot in so i do an extra +40 dmg instead of just waiting for the flem to recharge.

7:42 Captain Squawk has evolved into Captain Cannon!
You actually don’t need to wait for the crosshairs to centre to be accurate, they don’t affect the aim at all, it always shoots in the centre, it’s just harder to see where you’re going to hit
Which makes it super easy to quick scope people up close too
I am glad that someone still makes GWen content, garden warfare was a big part of my childhood and I still play it today
One tip for captain squawk, if you’re up close using the primary weapon on someone, once you hit them enough with the primary and you feel like they are probably half health, while still holding down right trigger, press left trigger and it will instantly transition and shoot the long range shot and most likely kill them.
I like captain squawk porsonaly but everyone has their own opinion
No one said captain squawk is bad or you shouldnt like him. I personally find him very fun and can be very good if you know how to use him
If captain squawk did 100 damage on hit it would be much better.
I remember when Squawk was on the showcase and I was playing splitscreen with my brother and I was scuba soldier, he was Squawk, and he destroyed everyone
That chomper that got sliced up near the end had 5 people on him including wolfy a mech, a squak, a barrel blast, a toxic brains, and a park ranger

I remember one time on turf I managed to somehow drop a 20 bomb with squawk like how do you legislate that. I felt so bad I actually apologised at the end of the match for the 26 people I killed

Captain squawk is actually good if you use a trick method. If you quick aim, like just and shoot at the same time, you do snipe damage up close. Offset is long recoil and one strong shot
Flame face is the worst. He’s basically a nerfed version of the reg pirate
Captain Squawk is really meant to be camping at the back because it is a long range character. Also, stay safe from the coronavirus because there is no cure to that (well for now at least).
I was once on a 43 kill streak in turf and I was killed by a dark flower. Never liked the prick since
I’ve found that squawk is amazing for steeling kills, that’s why you can get so many kills with it

When ever captain squawk uses his main weapon he’s basically torturing his seagull and when he uses his long ranged attack he basically launches his seagull basically killing it

Captain Squawk is very good long range but awful, terrible, rubbish, idiotic close range.
Me and a friend found that you can spam the spray attack "just" until it's about to overheat and them once you pull the left trigger you automatically fore the single shot so that it adds on top of all the spray damage, granted it's still kinda useless but it helps you fr being a sitting duck in close quarters

I thought about a tactic while using him: you shoot with the secondary shot, then try to kill with Flem Thrower. However, it will only work with the Reload Upgrade ig

Ironically squak is my favorite pirate but I hate snipers a lot I think I just liked the toxic damage but once you get used to the few seconds he won’t let you shoot than you can drop entire lobbies
I think captain squack is underrated,I really like him and I think he deserves better
captain squawk isn't bad, I think he's the most fun pirate to play and I've gotten really high kill streaks with him. he's not unusable, he just punishes misses more then any other pirate.
It just bothers me so much that his reload upgrade doesn’t affect his bloom so if you wanna make use of it you have to take a noticeable penalty to your accuracy

I was really good about captain squawk because in gardens and graveyards the sniping from a far was my style of playing as captain squawk.

I’ll be firm: Squawk is one of my favourite Pirates- no, favourite zombies. THE worst pirate is Flameface. His absolutely atrocious damage output cannot be redeemed by fire damage. Plus I quickscoped a Pogo Pea this one time it was super cool blah blah bloo blah epic blah blugh got the kill yada yada... yeah.

I remember when this guy first came out and unlocking a whole bunch of zany zombopolis packs just to try and get him
Is it just me or do people sleep on the sun flower, they can deal a surprising amount of damage (like 7, 8, 9 damage per shot) and they have like 50 bullets per magazine? Reload? Anyway their only downside is their health but they can plant their own heal flowers and there is a variant that gives them like 50 extra health at the cost of having citron like speed.
I've had my Xbox and this game since Christmas 2018 and this was the 2nd pirate I mastered because I enjoy being accurate
