    This is dangerous for the following reasons. a) By shorting one of the LED's the voltage on the others is higher and out of range. b) The used powder to connect over the missing LED could deteriorate and heat itself up to eventually catch fire. c) The only pushed back on bulb part might more easily get back of because it was glued. Touching the inside of the bulb's trunk will give you an electric shock and could even kill you. I strongly advise not to perform the repair attempt as shown in this video.

      @milutzuk Před 2 měsíci

      a) might not be true, depending on the driver. If it's a decently designed constant current driver, then the voltage might not be out of the absolute electrical specs of the individual LEDs. Anyway, because most of the bulbs are Chinese bulbs with a driver designed and made on a boat, your point stands. After all, why did that LED fail? Most likely the cooling solution was insufficient, meaning the design was bad, meaning everything else was probably bad.

    Instead of doing all that, you go and buy a light bulb😅

    Waarom is dit niet gepatenteerd? Wat een stomme vraag is dit. Wij zouden ons beter afvragen waarom dergelijke video's op you tube en dergelijke komen. U creëert hier een super gevaarlijke situatie

    You forget - a First Aid Kid - is a must - to be prepared when things don't turn out as easy as it seems.

    • @bildungfehltimland
      @bildungfehltimland Před 3 měsíci

      There isn't a First Aid Kit against electrocution out there.
      Don't forget: at the end of dead LEDs in that configuration is full 230V to ground.
      Detecting a dead LED needs only an Ohmmeter:
      in one direction is infinite resistance and in the other a much lower, because LEDs can be considered as an rectifier.
      Without any high voltage you risk nothing. The Ohmmeter function is driven by ONLY 9V

    • @milutzuk
      @milutzuk Před 2 měsíci

      @@bildungfehltimland He said First Aid Kid, meaning having a kid beside you to pull the plug if you start shaking is a must. Just make sure it isn't your own kid. Also, make sure it isn't Billy the Kid, there is no such thing as First Aid Billy the Kid, only Kill Yourself Aid Billy the Kid. (If I wasn't very clear, don't worry, I'm Romanian, we're still using electrical wires made of wood, the same good old material Vlad Țepeș used to make those missiles designed for high-precision ass targeting. You may know Vlad Țepeș, pronounced Tzepesh, as Count Dracula).

    Graphite conducts electricity this will burn a hole threw the housing of the plastic. if you're lucky enough it doesn't catch on fire.

      No long as the DC driver is still putting out the same voltage, so the remaining LEDs are being overdriven, for 20 pence he could have just soldered a new led on and actually repaired it😂

  • @xciurax

    forse un ponte fatto con un pò di stagno avrebbe risolto meglio il problema perchè è vero che la grafite è conduttiva quindi crea un ponte ma la colla cianocrilato rischia di rendere tutto non conduttivo, comunque vedo che ha avuto successo anche il tuo metodo quindi bene così, mi sembra però che non faccia molta luce ora, forse perchè appunto crea un ponte poco conduttivo a causa della colla?
