Catching my 12,000th baseball at Truist Park in Atlanta!

- That's right, TWELVE THOUSAND baseballs, all from Major League Baseball stadiums. I caught my first ball in 1990, so you see? I've been insane for a long time.
I did NOT expect to get 12k at this game between the Atlanta Braves and Colorado Rockies. I was nine balls short of my personal milestone, and Truist Park has been crowded all season. Luckily, though, the pre-game crowd was sparse, and I went OFF during batting practice, catching six home runs on the fly. I also got a couple of baseballs in other ways, so by the time BP ended, I was at 11,999 lifetime. I knew it was going to happen at that point, and sure enough, Rockies pitcher José Ureña hooked me up with the BIG ONE in the middle of the 3rd inning.

And now I can add No. 12,000 to the list at yet another stadium, so even though it was a wimpy toss-up from just a few feet away, this was still a big moment for me.

Admitting you have a _problem_ is the first step towards treatment. Wait, what problem? You get to go to a bunch of games every year, you often get fed for free at those games, you're buddies with a bunch of Major Leaguer's and best of all you get to hang with greatest videographer on CZcams, Fenway Chris. You know what 'they' say, love what you do and you'll end up with over a half-a-million subscribers.

I'm very happy for you Zack ! As you say about when you got 12,000, "it is what it is", but you did it ! I'm just glad it was from a player and not a stadium employee. Because of the title, I knew this video was gonna be special, so instead of my phone, I watched on the big screen, & I went to In N Out to chow down while watching.🍔

Crazy stat Zack. Since April 9th, 1990, which was opening day that year until now there have been 11,844 days. I understand we had a lack of 162 game seasons in 94' and 95' (60-65 games missed in total) and 2020 only a few could attend any games. 12,000 baseballs in this amount of time is an average slightly above 1 per day including offseason!
