This commentary is f*ing hilarious :) Thanks.
Dominic, what's crazy is that ChatGPT came up with 70-80% of the script for the robot. Wild.
Yayyyyyyyyy this is so amazing! I followed the steps and I created a powerpoint from scratch using the technique 🥰
Excellent, Victor!
It is very interesting topic Please go ahead lam your follower

Amazing content! Do you know how I create the PPT on a specific template I already use? But I still want it to create the icons the way it does it.
Take a look at the Designer panel in PowerPoint. Microsoft AI will automatically make designs and pick icons for you.
I just did it! Using a free HTML editor and commands from word .doc to .ppt Time = 30 min together with research of .pdf that I wanted, creation of outline, slide notes, and scenarios for each topic! Lock forward to more in your Masterclass; thank you, Josh!
Excellent!!! Enjoy the Masterclass!
This video is great, but I'm afraid I'll have to update my version of Power Point since I have the 2019 version. Unfortunately, this version does not support it. The final result is just a slide with the main titles without any bullets. This is very valuable information that you have shared with us. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for your feedback!
Very useful video. The presentation by Chadgpt is awesome.
Thanks!!!
great job. osm osm osm

Urgent!!! Thanks for your video, pls answer a query, when i have saved my document as html in notepad and than when i open it in word, it opens up as the same html format and not in simple plain text output as you have got in your video
Make sure the file extension is .HTML when you save the file. If it is still .txt you will see code.
hello thank you for the video. Its cool. but im facing some problem. i follow all the step you hv made, but the finish step (export to PPT) didnt show up. how come >.
The export to PowerPoint feature is not available to everyone. ☹️ I found this out AFTER I made this video.
Hi did you use the notepad app from the laptop. If so, when I save my HTML to my built in word, it remains as the code. Please assist
Make sure you give it a .HTML file extension and NOT .TXT. - I hope that helps.
hey thanks for the video ! is very helpful, but when i trying to open the HTML file into Word the HTML will still maintain in the Word( still in code format), what should I do?
Make sure the file extension is .HTML. when saving the text file from the text editor. Word will be able to parse the tags out when opening the file up.
I am trying but I can't figure it out that how to open HTML file in word. Kindly guide me
Hi Josh!
I tried to do this but the final output did not have all the slides. While the HTML file had 10 slide the exported slide document had got curtailed to 4 slides. Any idea how i can overcome this?
That's odd. Make sure all the formatting is clean in the Word document before.co verting to PowerPoint. It should only be Headings and unordered lists (bullets).
Hey Josh I can't seem to get my html text from chatgpt to change. I have notepad as my text editor and when I attempt to save it, I am unable to save as an html. Is there something I should be doing different or should I use another text editor? Please help as this will be so helpful for work
Just save the file with a .HTML extension. Example: Myslides.html Notepad will let you do it by changing the .txt intension to .HTML and then saving the file.
why not copy from chat gpt and paste in ms word (online) or office 365? why to convert in HTML and save and all those steps?
Yes... you can do that. I added the extra step to avoid potential issues viewers may have with copy/paste, clipboard, formatting, etc.
One questions, why do we copy html to word instead fo directly using text provided by chatGPT?
This is to maintain strict formating of Headings and Unordered lists. Clean conversion to Word formating when you open the HTML file.
Nice tutorial Josh! I have only one issue which I can't find export to PowerPoint presentation? I use Office 365.
It seems this feature is not on every Office 365 account. This is still a "Preview" technology. The work around is to take your outline from Word --> Copy --> Open PowerPoint --> View Tab --> Outline View --> Paste into Outline View. You will need to make a few adjustments, but it stil works.
Please show me the way open file HTML like your file word. When I did that, file word have content like HTML code
When you save from Notepad, or your text editor, just type the file name as "Slides.html" and save the file. Then open the file in Word.
Hi Josh, do you know how I can use ChatGPT to summarize a video from CZcams and convert to text?
Check out ChatTube- it's a Google Chrome extension. Or... copy and paste the transcript into the prompt and ask for a summary.
Why did you open it in Office 365 before exporting it to PowerPoint?
Could you have it Exported to PowerPoint once saved as a docx file on the local computer?
The Word to PowePoint export only exists with the online version of Word (Office365). This doesn't exist in the desktop version.
Is there a way to get it to read PowerPoints and suggest improvements in PowerPoint slide clarity, structure and flow?
Not yet... but there will be a day with multimodal media analysis. You can get a glimpse of that action using the Designer panel in PowerPoint. That uses AI to come up with slide designs.
the conversion part was not gone well as my word doenot have to option to convert to ppt

Hey Josh, Another question, if you dont mind. Do I need the paid version of Creative Animator to make the puppet background transparent? How can I do that so I can "Overlay" a puppet on a vid? Thank you.
Yes. Adobe Character Animator is part of the paid subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud. I composite the robot on a lime green background and key out the background in my video editing tool... Camtasia.
@@JoshCav Thanks. I have the free version. I guess I have to upgrade for the green screen or try to do it in my editor which is WeVideo.
the one video that I have watched give me really great tips
Glad it was helpful!
Wow, really good
Thanks, Khavy! 😀
but what should we do if we want to put our own photo to match with their labels
Do you mean add Photos in PowerPoint? You can right click on an image and replace the image, or in some instances go into the Master and change the image.
Hi . It was best tutorial i ever seen .
I am facing here a problem . Once i prepare the presentation so after that i am trying to open it on my desktop powerpoint i am using office 2009 version . So the presentation could'nt open in my desktop app . Please resolve my this issue .
Thanks
Thanks. Well, there may be a compatibility issue with the old version of PowerPoint and Office 365. I would upgrade your version of PowerPoint if possible to get this to work.
@Josh Cavalier
Im not able to export my word doc into powerpoint… do you have any solutions?
Björn, some users of Office 365 do not have the capability to export to PowerPoint. This is a Preview technology from Microsoft. The work around is to copy the content and paste into the Outline View in PowerPoint. There may be some edits, but that's an alternative solution.
i cant seem to convert the word document into powerpoint. It's perhaps because im not using powerpoint 365, so my question is, is it possible with any other version of word or powerpoint?
edit: I read your answers to previous question. Now I know why!
You need to use the online version of PowerPoint (Office 365). The conversion happens on Microsoft's servers. Also, this ability is not rolled out to all users. It's a technology preview.
Hi. I tried to do it as you taught but GPT said it was not able to convert the bullets points outline into HTML. WHY? Can you help?
Sometimes ChatGPT will not do what you ask depending upon how the prompt is interpreted. This is challenging. You're best bet is to be more detailed with your prompt to force the output. "Convert this to HTML with headings and unordered lists". That could kick it in.
@@JoshCav THANK YOU. NOW IT WORKS
Yes!!! Excellent!
Not able to convert word into PowerPoint in export option please help
Akash - Not everyone has the PowerPoint export feature. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not rolled this out to all users. 🙁
Help please, when I am about to export it to powerpoint.. It only shows the option to convert it to transform it to a webpage! why is that?
Arland, the Export to PowerPoint presentation feature has not been rolled out to all Office 365 users at this point. This technology is in "preview" status. Most Microsoft business customers have this option enabled.
Hey, thank you for your content! When opening on Word 265 it doesn't give me the option to export to Powerpoint. Any idea why?
Microsoft has not rolled this option out to every user/region. You can take the outline and copy/paste in the outline view in PowerPoint, and make some adjustments.
@@JoshCav Thank you so much!
@@brunoopaludo You're welcome!
Am not getting the export to PPT option i dont know where I am going wrong.
The feature is not available to all users or geographic regions. In the meantime, you can take the outline and copy/paste into PowerPoint's outline view.
This is amazing. I am just getting to AI, and this is the best thing I've seen
Thanks, David! This was a fun workflow to experiment with.
what is the "act link a" at the beginning of the prompt
Haha... that was a typo. I should have typed..."act like a..." That whe you get CharGPT into a role. It amazing ChatGPT understood what I was trying to do.
The robot is really helpful, now making a powerpoint is time efficient.
Excellent!
Hi Josh! While opening the notepad file in Powerpoint. There is error pop up shows.
"Powerpoint can't open this type of file."
You need to open the HTML file in Word - Office 365... not PowerPoint, and then export to PowerPoint. I hope this helps!
Now I know why I have 365🎉, thank you!
Awesome. Enjoy!
Thank you so much, but I have problem that when I open the text in the Word, it is the same Code that I copy from ChatGPT , and the anthers one is that I couldn't find explore presentation in the word. I use Mac book
The Mac version of Word may not open up the file correctly. You could try a different prompt in ChatGPT, like "Change this to headings and bullets." Then copy it to Word. Also, the export feature has not been rolled out to everyone. I know this is frustrating.
@@JoshCav
Thank you for your reply. However, if there is any solution for this issue plz mention it to me.
There is another way. Ask ChatGPT to "Act like a PowerPoint expert" then "format the information so it can be placed in outline mode". ChatGPT should give you slide titles and bullets. Copy and paste into PowerPoint, but using the Outline View. You will need to learn how to use the outline view to make adjustments like using indent, outdent, and hard returns. I did this yesterday with some success.
@@JoshCav Thank you for your assistance. I’ll try it and let you know 👌🏻
@@skrooz10 just google "html to word converter". The first link worked for me, you're welcome.

@Josh (and all guys here), thank you. I'd like to import a table generated in ChatGPT in a Word document; but each time it gives a table with double lines (not awesome). Please help me getting a clean table in Word. Thank you
Select the entire Table > Go to the Home Ribbon > paragraph Setting Button (THE SMALL ONE!) > Set Spacing Before and After value to 0 > Click the OK button. 😁👏
@@JoshCav Goodness me; you are a super star! Thank you a million.
hey Josh, great video. Thank you for educating the community. I have something which you might find quite interesting. I am using python to skin this cat.
These are all really stop gaps until Co-pilot rolls out, but at $30 per seat per month, we may be using these techniques for awhile. Whatcha got?
@@JoshCav I'm currently using openAI's gpt-3.5-turbo model family with Python (open source). Using that I can make powerpoint presentations from word documents as big as 200 pages (the tool automatically summarize so it fits in a 16k context) I've done a pretty detailed demo on that which you can find among my videos (hard to miss cuz I don't have many.)
feel free to use as many clips from the video as you need in case u find it interesting.
@@leonid20000 Thanks! Yeah... I have a feeling within a year so much of this will be automated. You'll still need a great prompt to get the results you need, but the a lot of the heavy lifting will be done by AI.
@Josh Cavalier Hey Josh. Great video. Two Questions: Do we really need all the steps. Can't we just take html direct to the word doc? Not Sure I understand. Also , do you know if there are any copyright issues with the adode characters? Thanks agin for the great vid.
Thanks for the feedback. There may be other/faster ways to get the results in Word. I was trying to be OS agnostic as much as possible. There will be a higher chance of success. About the Adobe Character... who I will now name "Chad - GPT" (Don't come after me OpenAI 😂) -- per Adobe: the puppets (without extended license) are free to use for any commercial purpose. Of course you can't resell the puppets, or copyright them.
@@JoshCav Awesome. I am so excited about the potential of this!!! Thank you ! What does "without extended license" mean? Here is my first attempt. LOL I love voices. czcams.com/video/564wlwAMn8U/video.html Oh... and I love Chad GPT. I'll be on the look out for him in future videos. I love the transitions you do with him!
@@VideoShareTV Some 3rd party puppets have extended licenses. So the protections go beyond Adobe's Terms of usage. Typically, this covers copyright, reselling the puppet, and making videos with "immoral" or "inappropriate" content. I love your demo video! Ha! --- The Glitch transition is in Camtasia. Have fun!
@@JoshCav Thank you for being "OS agnostic" I want to learn so much. And it's working in the way you doing it!
Step 9 didn't work for me, I didn't see converting Word to PowerPoint file.
Can you help me and advise me what should I do?
Microsoft is still rolling this technology out to Office 365 subscribers. Take the bulleted list in Word, and copy and paste it in the "List view" in PowerPoint. You will need to make a few edits, but that's the current workaround.
how can i convert html document to ms word.
Make sure your file has a .HTML extension, and then open in Word. At that point you can "Save As" a .Docx
Hi. My notepad dosn't have an option of saving as an html document. What shall I do?
Just type the file name as "Slides.html" in the file save dialog box instead of using the .TXT.file extension.
@@JoshCav It worked!!! Thanks a lot!!!
@@dilbarzokirova3026 Excellent!!!
no option for convert word to ppt in office 365 only website
Yeah... this option is not available for all users yet. VERY PAINFUL. I realized this only AFTER making the video. There are a lot of 365 subscribers still waiting. I'm going to make a follow up video with two other ways of using ChatGPT and PPT WITHOUT the online version of 365. Stay tuned!
How do u put the robot to talk
Adobe Character Animator... amazing software! 🔥
If anyone is using MacOS, using Safari will not allow the feature to export the .HTML file extension into a PowerPoint file. I used Google Chrome and everything worked fine!
Thanks for the info, DeAngelo.
Why my Microsoft 365 don't has the "Export" this option? It just has the "Save as" and "Print"...
This feature is not rolled out to all users yet. It's in a Microsoft tech preview. Sorry!
@@JoshCav OK,thanks
when i've opened my html file, it didnt come out the way you showed. Help
You may want to try a more specific prompt in ChatGPT like, "Convert this to HTML with Headings and Unordered Lists". I hope this helps.
why should i convert it to html when i can copy paste the bulletin points from chatgpt to word directly and press convert to ppt? it works
Excellent. 👏 I'm glad you got this to work, Swathy. I wanted a consistent result regardless of how the information winds up in the Windows/Mac clipboard. Sending it to HTML was the method I used. 👍
I am trying but I can't figure it out that how to open HTML file in word. Kindly guide me
You should be able to Open the file directly in Word. Go to the File menu > select Open > navigate to the .HTML file and select it > select the Open button.
I can't convert the Word doc. to PPT 😢 please help as soon as possible
Some versions of Office 365 does not have the Export to PowerPoint feature with the web version of Word. Your best bet is to copy the outline from Word and paste it into the Outline view in PowerPoint. You may need to make a few tweaks, but this is a good work around. Good luck!
I cant convert the text on chatgpt to html. It gives me a negative feedback
ChatGPT will do that depending upon how the Transcoder interprets the command. You may need to be more specific: "Convert to HTML with Headers and an unordered lists"
😍
👍
The robot is fuck..ing funny :D
About 80% of the robot's script is written by ChatGPT. What's crazy is ChatGPT keeps using the same personality from a simple prompt for different scripts. 😲🤯
So, we are supposed to have office 365 subscription to use this feature, right?
Yes, that is correct. You need the web version of Office... with 365.
Thanks, interesting. But what is the purpose in this process? I could create such a presentation much faster manually, than you did using several tools. I just can't see any time saving or anything of use here.. is it just me?
I understand. If you have PPT chops - this workflow could be slower. There was two major take aways in the video: ChatGPT coming up with the initial content (creative partner) and the Word to PowerPoint Export feature in Word 365 (productivity). This is about exploring new workflows and giving viewers options.
I dont have the option to convert it to power point
Some instances of Office 365 do not have the option to export to PowerPoint. This could be a license or regional issue. Sorry! Found this out after making the video.
This CZcams video is very helpful. I previously attempted to do this following the PDF tutorial but now I see where I may have missed a step. Converting the html to a .doc.
I’ll give it another shot and see what happens.
Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Thanks, E.M.!
I am stuck at the last stage..export to ppt... there is no ppt to export to...
Hey, Charlotte. Microsoft has NOT released this export feature to all 365 users. This is a preview technology. Hopefully, you see this option appear soon.
Is there a way to do this off google slides? Appreciate the help if doable.
Eder- I thought Google slides had an outline view, but it doesn't. I also tried looking for a Docs to Slides converter so I could import my text into Docs and then convert to slides - no luck. That are some chat GPT extensions for the Google browser that may work. (GPT Workspace)
I can't convert it to ppt, It doesn't click on the 365 pls help
Microsoft has yet to roll this feature out to all 365 subscribers. 🙁 I hope you get this option soon!
The option to convert word to PowerPoint wasn't active for me. What do I do?
Enoch, Microsoft is slowly rolling out the Word to PowerPoint export on Office 365. This feature is currently only available in English and the feature is not available in the Internet Explorer or Safari browsers. I hope you get access to this feature soon!
