I think the "commentary" on this song is much more subtle. The obvious joke one could make is that the Ramones were acting low energy, disinterested, and were barely doing anything which ruined the music video. But Beavis and Butthead love the song so much they don't even care. They are being high energy while the Ramones are being low energy.
that video is not low energy though. . there's a ton of activity in the background, while the band members are sitting there oblivious because they have been sedated.

The videos were Madonna Erotica (after they got tied in the dungeon by Ms. Kora Amsterdam), Guns and Roses and Sir Mix A Lot Big Butts. They changed the channel to the this video from the Ramones. If I recall B&B were Ramones fans. The Ramones had several videos on B&B and some featured commentary but they never talked down on the Ramones. This one is awesome because all they do is rock out to the Ramones! Also it was a giant FUCK YOU to MTV because MTV always shafted the Ramones even though the bands they influenced got heavy rotation

I love that they (the duo) have rich,varied tastes. You'd think for example "King Diamond" would suffice as they seem to like metal however they couldn't take him seriously yet they LOVE Alice Cooper. They seem to enjoy the genres of punk,rock,gangsta rap almost exclusively with small instances of either one or both enjoying an artist the other isn't such a fan of.
I liked that the camera showed us a few times they were head jamming to actualy show us they were still there!!!! Maybe this was a music video where the viewers could have made their own commentary while watching because B and B were not saying anything at all!!!!
Can you even call the modern crap "music?" It's not music, it's just noise... No instruments, all done electronically with a program, and it all sounds soulless and empty... No talent involved at all. Are you a terrible singer whose singing is always flat? No problem, they'll correct your notes in another program and make you sound overproduced and robotic! Then they'll get the latest and greatest "rap artist" to record a verse to include on the song just to ruin your track even further... Modern music makes me absolutely sick to my stomach
