  • Gabriel Landeskog. NHL Forward. If Gabriel could do it all over, see why he would've sat out for the rest of that game.

Wow. Landeskog hit all the points - the drive to get back, not feeling right and how important it is to take the time to recover.

So much respect for Gabe. I really appreciate his off the ice contributions- but his article in the players tribune about concussions- and vestibular disorder has helped me so much. I got a concussion in a car accident..... and it has been the hardest thing I have gone through. Vestibular disorder is debilitating. Gabe thank you so much for your efforts to raise awareness. I wish I could thank you personally. I wish you the best!

Helpful initiative. Good job GL. Attitudes really have to change on this one. Easiest way to look at this is that most common but serious injuries (broken bones, torn ligaments etc.) don't allow the player to return to the game in which they occur, and the very reason this one is so tricky is precisely that it CAN appear to permit the player to return... Suffering another blow immediately afterward can be crippling or even deadly right there on the ice or just longer term in terms of CTE.
