Despite living here for over 30 years I am still amazed by how much we have right under our noses. Wonderful shops, restaurants and architecture. the arts and the park. How blessed we all are . Lovely to see it all so creatively captured on film. Thank you
My cousin lived in Teddington for many years before she passed on. We visited her and stayed at the Lensbury right on the river a number of times. My cousin has an apartment at River Beech. Such a lovely place and very pleasant area especially Bush Park remember it with great affection.
I have stayed at the Travelodge on both my fairly recent visits to Teddington from Australia. Love the location- close to the station, cheese shop, High Street and the Thames. I can't wait to visit again when we are allowed to fly! Great video. Love Teddington😊
What an awesome video, Matt. Great work, really impressive. I’ve worked as an estate agent in Teddington for fifteen years and to be honest know all these great things about the area but you’ve absolutely nailed it with this movie and shown the area off so well in your presentation of this great town.
Loved the video; the camera shots, the slick production! Excellent work! I live in next door Hampton - in case you wanted to make that the subject of your next video ;-)
A really beautiful video! Wonderfully shot and informative. I'm always on the lookout for new place to meet up with friends, so Teddington is definately on my list now!
@@top10todolist2 Would love to. Shame London is quite far for me these days but will definitely pop by when it's next convenient to do so. Hopefully the weather will be good when I do visit!
I live in Teddington over one year now I like it it’s a lovely place to live in 🌹 thank you 🙌🏻 could you do a video for twickenham and Kingston please ?
Thx. I’m planning a video for Richmond at the moment. I will most likely do one for Twickenham after that. Not sure if I will do Kingston. If you want to stay updated you can follow my Instagram also 👍

@@top10todolist2 Yes, as a Londoner and avid explorer of the great city there's always so much to learn and unearth. Once again, top draw material. I'm sure you'll have thousands of subscribers in no time with this level of work.
I was born in Teddington rather more than twenty years ago. It's always been relatively affluent but it is now far more gentrified. I wonder how many old Teddingtonians still live there or were most priced out of the area. I'd happily answer any questions on it's history from the late sixties onwards. One point, the "tide end town" is a popular local myth. The name probably derives from "farmstead of a man called Tuda".
Love the video but Teddingtons name doesn’t derive from “Tide end” it just comes from a development of Saxon, Norman and family names and a probable Lord Teddington or a an old chief Tedd and then Ton meaning town.
What a splendid video. My heartiest congratulations. However, if I may be permitted to make one correction of fact, the bouncing bomb was developed by Barnes Wallace, not at the National Physical Laboratory, but in the adjacent Admiralty Research Laboratory. Barnes and I were great friends, and we often spent time together , both at the NPL and the ARL. By thr way, havr you thoughy of approaching Richmond Council with a view to them taking a license on this video for tourist attraction publicity purposes. The might even assist in financing future projects of this nature. The quality and content of this video is certainly the best I have seen. And I have live here for over 70 years. Once more, thank you for a near perfect production.

@@top10todolist2 In the late spring. They tried to buy the property in Park Lane but were unable to (despite a huge local fundraising effort and press coverage) and have moved, I think, to premises in Petersham.
As mr Turner has very well put it if the Gate is called Teddington Gate then wouldn’t that suggest some of Bushy park is in Teddington. It would also be ridiculous not to mention Bushy park if your doing a video about Teddington 😊
