Born in London during the 50s and having moved out of the city almost 36 years ago, for me this video was a pleasure to watch. As others have commented here, I also remember the Christmas street lights and department store displays being more impressive. Credit where it's due - this video was well thought-out and filmed.

Oh, that is a bit depressing. I am going to London this weekend and was hoping for something better than Paris, but clearly it is not to be.
Yes, I remember it was better some years ago. They spent more money on the lights then. I have never been to Paris so I cannot comment on it.
Some people make such a fuss about Paris, Rome is more beautiful. The best thing about France and Paris is the FOOD, FOOD. FOOD and WINE outside of that its just okay. There are some really amazing places in the world, Scotland, Prague etc but everyone makes such a fuss over Paris which is over hyped. If they didn't have the food and drink surely people could not make such a fuss. I think Central London is a very beautiful and fun place and Londoners should be proud of it
