- Moon (male husky, kept one of lark's babies-Teal)
- Shadow (male husky, J&D tried to keep Lark's baby Red, but Moon & Shadow struggled with littermate syndrome so Shadow was rehomed like the others)
- Sakura (black female pregnant rescue cat) (kept her)
- Sakura's kittens, the zodiac litter (Gemini, Taurus, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
- Azula (female foster cat, was pregnant but lost the litter)

*Montana/Monty (female golden retriever) is often in videos; she is Daniel's (Joey's ex) dog, but often comes to Joey doggy daycare
*the babies are usually adopted by other people (other than Moon) and then renamed! some of them have instagrams and have shared their new names/stories, but I'm not including those here
*I first created this list a long time ago and add to it every time Joey takes in a new animal...because I have it saved I just copy/paste it onto every (I try, but it's more like "most") animal-related video he posts, so no, it actually doesn't take a lot of my time or effort. I just like lists. Thank you to everyone who is giving thanks about the amount of effort though haha!

I have been here through this whole animal caregiver evolution youâve had, since Lark had her babies.
You jumping head first into this inspired me to start my own little animal rescue in my small town in Minnesota.

@@laurieschapro6036 Thankyou so much! I just picked up 2 Persian cats about a week ago whoâs owner was in a horrible car accident and became paralyzed from the waist down. She just couldnât properly care for them anymore. It was a very heart breaking and emotional day for day for everyone. đ

The group jump with the second toy made me chuckle. Movement toys seem like a good choice for cats.
I work at a doggy daycare and spa and that âbackpackâ is for cutting sometimes cats but mostly smaller dogsâ nails but you are supposed to clip each side to a grooming table lol and then it makes it easier to clip and file their nails and cut their hair on their feet. That is so funny! I died when I saw you trying to hold it up with the cat in it đđđ
That nail sling looked more like a torture contraption. I think the kitties will actually love the electronic toys. They just haven't had time to get used to the movements, but they will. I've seen cats, especially kittens get really enthralled with those. Even though none of them wanted to stay in the TV cat bed, it might be that it smelled funny since it was just out of the box. After it's aired out a bit, they will start exploring it and will probably sleep in it eventually. That mushroom was so dang cute! It does seem a little small, but I think they'll get used to it and start to use it for scratching as well as climbing onto and jumping off of. I've found that my cats usually won't stay on something if I put them on it. They just need to "discover" it themselves and then it will become part of playtime.
Those babies are growing so fast! I don't think kittens always react to catnip, mine didn't until they were older. Now they love it!

I'm so happy you did this video. I was looking at all these items on Amazon to buy. Toy #1 was one I was very interested in. The top thing is supposed to spin and you're supposed to take the top off of the catnip part. I agree that the Smarty Kat motion toy had value. Keeping a catâs interest usually involves movement of some kind. The toy with the feathers popping out different holes has potential too. If I wasnât in San Diego, I would adopt one of these cuties. đč

I volunteer with cats. My top picks for toys are any of the ones where a ball spins around a track. Lots of fun, but it can't get lost! For extra fun, put half of it under a sofa or something similar. As it spins the ball disappears and reappears! It's always a big hit, especially if you have a kitten you need to keep entertained for a bit.

I reckon they'll be more interested in everything once the smell of all the "artificial newness" wears off, if that makes sense? It all probably smells like the manufacturing warehouse still, but once it smells more like their room, they should warm to it! Spraying some FELIWAY on new items might help them have more of a sense of calm? I absolutely cackled at 3:42 when they all jumped at the same time! Definitely had to replay that one a few times.đ
While the concept of the SmartyKat toy is great, I recommend buying the Petlinks version. It's a little more in cost but it's worth the difference. The SmartyKat cover/mat doesn't have weight to it, so even a fan in the room will cause it to move and get tangled/stuck. It's also smaller than the Petlinks version which means it gets moved around a lot more.

I think the mushroom is one of those things that a cat has to "discover" after its been in it's environment for awhile. My new kitten was like that with his cactus scratching post. now he climbs to the top and tips it over! totally getting that mushroom.

The mushroom and TV were super cute. The Smarty cat seemed to be the most engaging for the cats.
I wanted to recommend stuffing cat beds into pillow cases. It makes for easier cleaning.
You put the cat bed in a pillow case and wash it in the washing machine? I would love to do that. Just washed our kitties by hand and line dried.
To clarify, encase the cat pillows into pillow cases. When the pillow cases need to be washed, take the pillow case off the cushions, you may want to brush the hair off the pillow case first. Toss only the pillow case in the washer. It is easier to wash the pillow cases then the whole cushions. But if there is a messy or yaking event wash the unit as needed. I hope this helps.

I have the same tv/bed! My cat loves it. He sleeps inside and loves to sit on top of it to survey his kingdom! The only thing I wish is that the sleeping pad was thicker.

My cats love the smarty cat toy. One of my boys figured out how to turn it on by himself. I also gave it to my grand kitties last year for Christmas.
You might just need to give them time to get used to everything, bc every litter of kittens Iâve taken care of has NEVER been interested in any of the toys or anything at first. Iâll just leave everything in the room with them and after a few days they end up using them constantly lol.

I really appreciate what you are doing and how many animals you have helped over the years. But honestly I think you are not being respectful with the kittens. I feel like they clearly don't enjoy being held by you or when you grab them and I am not just randomly saying that, I volunteer in a shelter for cats.

Iâve always wondered how the dog grooming slings worked for huge dogs at home. I have two huge German shepherds at home, and I have to do doggijuanna and hemp chews, natural pb lick mats, doggie ice cream, and sacrifice my first born to get a nail done. Lmbo!! I have desensitized them since we got them as pups. So who knows why they are nervous still. The breeder even did work with them. Thinking about the sling, but not sure what is good for a extra huge dog, and how to suspend it in an apartment. Even the idea of making these things crossed my mind, but Iâm not that crafty.

If you put one of your T shirts in the TV box it may entice the kitties to go in. The best thing that I bought for my three-year-old rescue was a tunnel. Itâs made out of nylon and she loves it. She hides it and dives out all the time when I play with the feather stick with her.

Please test out the microchip feeders! I really want to see if it works before spending the money. I am curious to know if it actually detects the right cat allowing them in vs not letting a specific cat in.
