- In this episode of The Collector's Perspective, Wei is joined by NYC Watch Guy, who talks about his watch collecting journey, by starting from the very beginning - the 70s-era-dominating digital watches.
He also talks about being Michael Jordan's biggest fan and being the master of memes, despite the seriousness of the watch world.

For anyone wondering - Honkeyburger was found and is safe and sound! 🐱❤
Yes he is! Thank you for helping us to spread the good news.
Basketball and watches - two hobbies I truly enjoy. Great interview as always @NYCWatchGuy!
Glad you enjoy it!
This was such a refreshing interview
Thank you, glad you enjoy it!
Awesome interview - hilarious!! So right about Vacheron.
Glad you enjoy it!
Great to read that Hokeyburger was found! Great interview. Cheers 🍻
Glad you enjoyed it!
He sounds like a very fun guy to listen to as a good storyteller. He's not trying to be an ass, but rather being direct, i.e. very much like a good comedian who isn't trying to make it personal or bullying, but to directly get the point across.
Very cool interview. A collector who knows how to enjoy collecting. Cheers
Glad you enjoy it!
LOL, he had me rolling. Very very cool collector and person! Agree with both of you about VC. Their recent watches kick so much butt, the other brands are starting to look a bit stale...
He is a really cool guy and also all brands are doing their best, we should always try to give them a chance as well!
Love this guy--super cool.
@nycwatchguy is a legend
He is the type of guy, you wanna talk for hours about watches. Great interview. 😄
Authentic guy who’s Indian and I to IT, but he said one thing, “As one who brings value to them.” I know that quote so often. Why is not anyone taking about that.
Glad you enjoy it!
Great episode. That Journe😮
It is definitely a show-stopper.
Even Jordan is “Alright, alright, get this guy off my nuts already I’ll give him a watch” 😂
really enjoyed it!! Wei its time for Ming x Revolution!!
you never know! haha
What an amazing video and what a cool dude!!!
Great interview. I wish he said exactly what he did to make money. He said everything to get up to that part, then stopped. LoL. But great interview for watches!
Glad you enjoy it!
Awesome 😎👍👍👍
What a super nice half hour was this!…
Thank you!
I love how the video started off censoring the swears, and the editor just gave up halfway through the video lol.
Great interview, finally not even one single Rolex or other hyped watches. This is how a real collector should behave.
Pls Revolution, next time skip all those little cut-in staff like cartoons and parts of some movies, whatever you call them...
Thank you for enjoying the interview, our guest is known for memes so it is a nod to his presence here at Revolution. Thank you for understanding.
Thanks for the reply, it is makes sense…
Hes my favorite watch collector to follow
One of ours as well!
Super interesting guy
couldn't agree more.
finally someone shouting out the Everest.
agreed!
Those eyebrows stole the show....
A strong aura requires strong eyebrows!
Pets and watch geeks ❤❤
Great interview and story!
I only wish he wouldn’t swear so much.
We try to keep the interview organic and that's just the way he is and we respect that.
Clearly a seasoned collector with remarkable timepieces and an obvious love for watches. That said, the use of curses and foul language (thankfully beeped out) during the interview perplexes me. It's a conundrum why successful, intelligent people would choose to communicate this way. Some might argue it makes them more relatable, but I find vulgarity seldom adds value. On a similar note, the only appropriate settings for shorts are the beach or a baseball game-not an interview.
Relax man
Lots to unpack in this comment. I truly had no idea there was a blanket dress code across the internet these days. Appreciate your intense judgement, diligence and education.
@@audienceofone6961 of course there is nothing wrong in dressing casual. Wei is in a casual outfit too, but shorts, in my very humble opinion, is where you should draw a line.
Shorts are key! The only bad part of the interview is that the curse words are bleeped out. It’s time ppl grow up and learn/ understand there are no such thing as curse words, they are all just words. Many words that were bleeped out are actually the most common in the English vernacular!
The whole point to let the interview be as organic as possible, or else there is no point in doing this but thank you for your constructive feedback!
Looks like a one eyed pirate don’t get that Watch
Serious watch collector speaks bad words in begging of the video , disrespectful.. ( dear Wei don't allow bad words in video , how we can make our ideol )
Personalities are what makes a person unique, if it doesn't work for you, that's fine but we respect everyone's way of expressing themselves.
