DragonForce has entered a phase that is enjoyable to watch, they are demonstrating that they love what they do, having a lot of fun with what they are playing, not that they weren't already doing that (far from it),but it seems to me that nostalgia has infected them too, you can hear the joy in every note.
Since you like this, perhaps view "Play Again?" reaction to BABYMETAL Road of Resistance Live in Japan. DragonForce wrote the music for this performance. 🦊 🖖❤
This looks and sounds like Gloryhammer. Many will like it but for me who started listening to Dragonforce since before being Dragonforce but Dragonheart, this feels like substandard. I got nothing against becoming a meme group, but Dragonforce is far too important for power metal in my mind to go in that direction.
Nothing about this song is being a “meme” group. This song sounds like 90% of the music on their four recent albums. What you’re really saying is that instead of a clean vocal sound like Marc has, you prefer the raspy vocals of ZP. ZP had his place, and I enjoyed his albums but Marc has brought the band to a new level and acting like this is a new change that just recently happened is disingenuous at best. By the way the only music they released under the name DragonHeart was a demo of songs that later all got released on their first album under the name DragonForce. So saying you’ve been listening to them ‘since before the name change’ is silly because it’s all music that got released after the name change.
@@tayta-tot6181I like ZPs voice as I like Marc's - and Dragonforce's songs in all their different styles. And - strange enough to many - my fave Dragonforce of all is Dan Vascs version of "Dawn Over A New World" 🎶

@@tayta-tot6181There's a tradeoff. Better live performances with Marc, or better studio versions with ZP. I'm gonna have to go with ZP🙂
