This game is awesome. Hope they make a second one...Glad your giving it a go Floppy.
Took me awhile to understand how the game works, but I really like it a lot.
@@FloppySwordGaming Yea I noticed that lol. So the circle in the bottom corner is your troop, if I remember rightly the white are adults and the yellow are babies. The line coming from those circles indicate that a Ape is following. Those are buffs not debuffs as you learnt with that croc. Eat the weeds by the water at camp to help that break. Because you didn't actually focus learn anything all you got was the rocks and stuff to level up with the more you focus learn the faster you and your troop evolve. So when you use sence/intellect you have to focus on the icon to the learn the said item ,then as you pass through time you troop will remember what you taught them. you almost figured out the crafting as I typed this so will amend if need lmao, bash with the boom. Great vid as usual Floppy.
i always liked how you could lure one animal to another and trigger a fight between them the fight scenes were pretty cool. And make sure you stay in the trees until you learn the ability to fight and make pointy sticks. lots of big cats in the jungle.
i think one of the best things about this game is the way it makes you figure things out. Your human knowledge doesn't really help you. You literally have to learn and evolve as you go just as the ancestors would have done. You are put in their shoes and the little things you fail to figure out can have a serious impact on your game as you go. It's a great game.
Although if you already know the history of how our ancestors progressed it does take away a bit of the learning. Like it doesn't take a genius to go "what if i bang rock on obsidian to make sharp rock"
That said I think that's part of why it's fun. You're learning, but it isn't so difficult to learn that it's frustrating, because most of it can be solved through intuition alone.
Being brutally honest so sorry...
This is genuinely the first video of yours I've seen and had to actually think if I was going to watch it or not. Usually I watch everything but this time I didn't know if I wanted to. Simply because this game is amazing and so intricate and detailed that a video less than an hour just won't do it justice. Now if you do a series of this on live streams then I'll be there for every second you play because I've always wanted to see you play this game.
Keep up the amazing videos appreciate them all.
Oh and I did decide to watch it 😉 👍
Thanks and I think I said basically the same thing in the video. It should be played longer, but an hour lets me understand where the game is headed.
did they change a lot of things after the release of the game? Because as i remember it became super repetetive and kind of boring very fast
I guess it depends on how you play the game. Personally I played this one more casual so spent maybe an hour or 2 at a time then left it for a few days then another hour or 2 so probably didn't notice any huge drop off in gameplay which is a subjective opinion in the first place. I agree there is much more individual and unique things to do early game as you discover every little thing and detail and object which obviously decreases later game but I enjoyed it while I played.
@@MrGorky86It is repetitive, but a lot of people like that kind of gameplay because it makes it more clear how much you've progressed. Doing the same thing over and over but slightly better and being enabled to discover something slightly new each time builds up to a feeling of great success.
I really really liked this game I was also hoping for a second one.
No manual. No hand holding. This game is the BEST open world game I've played in years! It totally creates a brand new way of how you think about playing a video game. Nature is unforgiving in real life and this game is the representation of exactly that. I've recently started back playing the game and I've made it further than ever before! This game deserves so much more credit than what it's given and that saddens me... 😢
You might like Rain World. It's like this but more intense because all it tells you is how to walk, grab, throw, eat, and how to long jump. Everything else in the game (and there is a lot in the game) you just have to figure out. Sounds like this game so far, but it takes place on a different planet and different universe than our own, so everything is absolutely alien to you. Very few mechanics can be figured out using existing knowledge.
That said, Rain World is a game a lot of people can't stand. Depends on the type of game you like. But I'd say if you like this game for the reasons you listed, you will probably like Rain World.
this game....man... incredible
👍👍👍
that ah ha moment Floppy ........ evolution sense it does not know...... you "are" the ape
priceless
Yea, a playthrough would be fun live streaming journey, please do one. ;)
This is a cool game to do a playthrough. Can be difficult.
i honestly wanna see this series more please
Thanks for the preview.
This game is very indepth
You have to use focus when in intelligence mode and when u craft, listen for audio cues to release with proper timing
I bought this on Xbox One a long time ago. I didn't get as far as you did. It was too overwhelming. Thinking about trying it again. I know those spots you passed up have some kind of interaction. It's a big grey rock surrounded by smaller brown stones. I wanna say there is insects you can eat underneath them. Could be wrong, it's been a few years.
I love this game. It has some glaring flaws. I really hate the AI most of the time, that's the main one.
But the gameplay loop of making monke smarter through your own curiosity and being rewarded with that sweet evolution is just so great
Hands down one of the best games ever
Definitely a play through!
Brutal from the start!😢
Havent even finished the video and Im already wanting more! Please will you do a playthrough?
This is absolutely a stream game. There really isn't a direction to head, it's all up to you. That's the beauty and downfall of this game lol. I absolutely love it. There is so much involved in this. Pick up everything, smell it, taste it. Stand up whenever you are using your intelligence. Use a rock on a stick to make a spear. You will only learn stuff by trying to do it. There isn't any direction lol. It's all on you and how you want to play. I will say, the different biome have their own challenges and they get progressively harder with more predators.
Also, when altering something, let go of the button when it makes whatever that sound is. Anything further than that and it will either do nothing or destroy what you are altering. That's why the coconut was destroyed.
Missed the live stream. This is a good game to watch.
Hope to see more of this.
Hey Floppy, when altering you'll hear a prompting noise somewhat like a pinging sound indicating to let go of the button you're pressing to alter.
OMG the end... 😂😂😂
This would be a good game for a long run series, you might want to learn a bit more about how to play... or not as that may make it more fun to watch 🤣
I got this on the epic store for free during Covid it is a great game but is difficult to get going almost like ark
I got it for pretty much free using a bunch of deals on Epic
if you do streams of this.. notify me :D
you spawn as another clan member after you die.
It reminds me of the discord lol
