Gonna be a loooooot of work, but could be really rewarding in the end.

My '85 300TD wagon probably has that many miles but ODO crapped out😂😂😂 but zero rust...NV and Cali kept...now in FL....it's been in Baja, Vancouver, Red Hook and down to Miami....getting full restoration this year

for 500000 miles it looks good. I just bought a 1980 240TD and it's got rust on all doors and tailgate (so bad they have to be replaced) and it's done 420000kms, roughly 251000 miles, half of what yours have.

I'm thinking the floors and chassis will have a decent amount of rust given the condition of the body panels. That thing is really rough.

How did you manage with this restoration. What was your source for all the panels?
