Great video but please ditch the music, very distracting when trying to listen
Can you use the Biohome media in a HOB filter? We have the Marineland Penguin 350.
Do the gel balls need to be refrigerated if not used right away?

It may be worth editing the title of this video to say 'mini' ultra as that's the one you have here. The normal size ultra is about 4" x 1" diameter and there's some of that coming in the samples. I never got round to doing a video on the balls so well done for including them too.
Pondguru yeah no worries will edit the title and i had to include the balls, im going to do a seperate video on using them on a moving bed filter and a time lapsed video of them breaking down and dissolving too so people can see what they do too. The line of media is second to none so im only too happy to promote it too. I edited this on the imovie so still a little raw, still havent worked out the macbook yet lol

Does the water tank gets any coloration with biohome ultimate?
The effectiveness of nitrifying bacteria's ability to colonise your media has nothing to do with how porous it is.K1 media is not porous, and its be shown to be the best out there both statically, and fluidly.Porous media clogs easily, and encourages Heterotrophic bacteria which can slow down, and even stall your filter altogether. Bacteria needs a good flow of oxygen so it easily colonises onto media instead of through it. The structure of biohome is to tight to allow the flow of water through the media which the bacteria thrives on.
