- This video is dedicated to Victory Day. Victory Day is a celebration of the surrender of Nazi Germany in 1945. This video showcases the Eastern side of the war with music that came from that era. As the video progresses, it shows Soviet Sentiment of the war from song to song. This video is not a political statement, this video is a tribute to lost souls in this war. Especially the Slavs that sacrificed their lives for their countries. In WW2, The Soviet Union lost roughly 26 Million people. It's about 15% of the whole Soviet Union. Once you put the loss of life in perspective, you understand why Victory Day exists.

In the war two my great-grandfathers fight on the front. Third great-grandfather was a prisoner in the soviet labor camp. They all survived the war and complete their missions -- they stay alive and again meet their families.
But my fourth great-grandfather was a Belarusian partisan... He start fighting from the first days of nazi occupation. He was wounded twice and was awarded several times. But in 1942 he was killed by policemen during the outing in little town in the west of Belarus -- people say someone handed them over and it was an ambush. Grandfather and several of his comrades started a firefight to stop the enemy. Thanks to this the rest of the partisans retreated into the forest. Very sad that he doesn't saw the end of this horrible war, but I hope that in heaven he will be rewarded for his exploits and faithful service to his Fatherland and that I will someday be able to see and talk him and other great-grandfather's.

And it's cringy anyway. You just have to google about german warcrimes and holocaust in russian to get a glimpse on a situation. I'm not gonna justify their crimes, non the less they were soldiers who lost everything. Who lost their families and homes, who's life was in ruins. Of course that turned them into animals. But ask yourself, who attacked first? Research and compare the sheer volume of crimes.
USSR and Eastern Europe have more than 30 million OFFICIAL AND CONFIRMED civilian deaths (according to wiki). It's more than HALF OF ALL CIVILIAN DEATH IN WW2, it's MUCH MORE THAN jews. But of course that's not the thing they taught you in your schools. Yankees and western eu folks cry about jews death in a war they started and nobody even cares about eastern europeans.
And here compare what? Europeans killed twice more European civilians than russians and all Eu losses still twice less, than what russian lost. EVERY family in russia have losses, majority lost everyone. There were GENERATIONS of orphans, we still have very little nuclear families and culture of family connections have been completely lost. And now smb wanna teach us about loss?
But of course you can't care less about eastern europeans, americans and western europeans just think their opinion needs to be aired for anyone lmao. Capitain Bathole just a pure example

Three of my greatgrand fathers fought in ww2. And now I'm about to go to war, that's pretty scary, maan. I could stay at home and work some simple job, but I couldn't, knowing that my ancestors weren't afraid and did what was needed to be done. And a lot of other dudes of my age went to fight, I just can't stay at home. So yeah, here I am, going to fight for my country, for my family, friends, everyone I know. Love you all.
