Cult, The Rain Sire Records Company PRO-A-2427 Vinyl 12" Promo Single US 1985 Rock New Wave Steve ... Brown Producer Rain (LP Version) Rain (LP Version)
I saw these guys live about 25 years. It was open arena so we made our way up front. Believe it or not, Guns N Roses opened up for them. Was an awesome show. The music that my kids listen to I just shake my head and wonder what is wrong with them. Poor lil guys don't know what they missed.
Quite simple but deadly bass line, one of the best rock guitar riffs ever, a beat to march on, and that voice... No wonder I listened to this a zillion times ! Love it !
OMG - I love this version so much better than the finished product. It's dreamy! God, The Cult was so underrated in the states. And the LOVE album was my fav of all their albums. Thank you so much for uploading for our enjoyment.
+Fayde Dnamron (Whitewraithe) i have the vinyl ( original when it was released and almost unplayed as only got a good TT recently ) nothing like it under the sun. the power and simplicity is unmatched. got me started buying EPs PS groovin on your avatar !
+ekimu sufflacs Since I'm descended from the Anglo Saxons formerly the Vikings I'm kind of a warrior in my own right. I thought the image of Boudicca was fitting plus I have the fiery red hair. LOL, but thanks.
This is the version that was played at the all of the clubs back then! On a big sound system it sounds unbelievable! Sound system, light show, some ecstasy and your flying at 10,000 feet! LOL!!
After all these years and I hadn't heard this version. It flats out smokes ! What I wouldn't give to see Ian and Billy onstage with the Cult. . .just one time. Let it rain !!
The sisters of mercy, Front 242, Depeche Mode, The watherboys, B Movie, The cult, The Flock of seagulls........forever Valencia-Spain. MY MEMORIES WILL NEVER DIE.
f**K me this is amazing.... it is 2.44am in London and I am writing with this being injected into my neurons through my headphones ..... where has this version been all my life.... the rain ... the rain...
Listening to this version of one of my top 10 tunes ever and its still relevant today as it was when I was 15 years young when I first heard she sells sanctuary on TOTP 1985... got the love album that weekend and OMFG... an absolute masterpiece of musical genius...
Pretty damned cool, and yes, truly one of the missed bands who never really got full recognition in the 80's. Then again, if they did, they wouldn't have a "cult" following...Almost 30 years now...STILL rock live.
i fall in love with this song at first time it was back in the 80''s in movie call [demons]. it was so great, it played when the demon start slashing everybody in the party, it was played in a great rhythm following the sequence of the scene.
Hot sticky scenes, you know what I mean Like a desert sun that burns my skin I've been waiting for her, for so long Open the sky and let her come down Here comes the rain Here comes the rain Here she comes again Here comes the rain Hot sticky scenes, you know what I mean Like a desert sun that burns my skin I've been waiting for her for so long Open the sky and let her come down Here comes the rain Here comes the rain Here she comes again Here comes the rain I love the rain I love the rain Here she comes again Here comes the rain Oh, rain Rain Rain Rain Oh, here comes the rain I love the rain Well, I love the rain Here she comes again I love the rain Rain Rain
I can never forget that my generation is right after the 60’s the generation rocks and rocks and rocks from punk to pop however possibly the beatniks had American graffiti but we loved our hogs and hot rods I will never forget my 66 road runner 383 built up ☔️☔️☔️☔️
@elginxxxman true.....I was fortinate enough to grow up in the 80ties with very young parents...My mom is 65 and i am the youngest 42 in Januari...and 2 older sisters..Its nice that guys like you take notice and interest in music from this era..i don't want to judge others but the music nowerdays mainstream is house and pop with bad lyric lines...(not all of the music ofcourse) Thanks for sharing...thumbs up!
LOLOLOL You arent joke n bro,Thats y i pumed this n 2 my kids ears all through growing up and now n there high school years also. my oldest daughters,,1 of her favs is IRON MAIDEN & MEGADETH, Now a days its drum macines and softwer 4 some of the music now, BOOOOOOOO, I love driving through town with my loud ass system n my truck jamming all the old metal n rock, evry 1 i think needs to here what they r missing,LOL.Some ppl just dont know what 2 think when i have Slayer on n the truck, love it
The Love album is their pinnacle. It encompasses everything from their early days as Death Cult through Dreamtime and this is their conclusion. After that they went to America to earn lots of money. Good for them, they deserve it. However if they had stuck true to their roots, they would now be the darlings of UK music and still going strong, albeit without the hair and paisley. A big shame, but made a huge impact on my life, so all the best to 'em.
....I think you've hit the nail square on the head. Southern Death Cult and Death Cult were works in progress. Dreamtime is and always will be in my top 5 albums so it's a joy to throw it on the turntable or drop it in the cd player..... this 12" is pure FUCKING genius 🙏
I saw these guys live about 25 years. It was open arena so we made our way up front. Believe it or not, Guns N Roses opened up for them. Was an awesome show. The music that my kids listen to I just shake my head and wonder what is wrong with them. Poor lil guys don't know what they missed.
I am so happy to have this fantastic song on 12" vinyl!!! Happiness is being 68 and still loving this classic!!!❤🌧❤
Valencia años 80 los he bailado hasta el agotamiento ahora tengo 53 años y cada vez que los escucho se me ponen los pelos de punta
This is my best friends daughters favorite song.I must say,the Cult is one of the most under rated bands of the80's
Quite simple but deadly bass line, one of the best rock guitar riffs ever, a beat to march on, and that voice... No wonder I listened to this a zillion times ! Love it !
Damn this version is incredible. Some nice bass rolls and Billy got that distinction cooking. Such a great track just got better🤘🤘🤘🤘
OMG - I love this version so much better than the finished product. It's dreamy! God, The Cult was so underrated in the states. And the LOVE album was my fav of all their albums. Thank you so much for uploading for our enjoyment.

EXTENDED VERSION, YES!!!
In a free land "motorcycling" and "driving2 is much more pleasure, if the raw stuff is earned fairly!
