Very dumb question but I noticed your channel for your I believe 352nd impression? And I’ve been seeing a bunch and I gotta ask where did you get your gas mask?

I bought from a friend.. you can find them on ebay and sometimes warsendshop and 1944militaria has them. Facebook reenacting pages also sometimes have them

Have you heat gunned your Military Harbor tunic? If so how much did the sleeves shrink?

Good proof that the majority of Americans can't reenact German

Idk about that Chief. The German reenactors for this event did a phenomenal job.

@@schnelletruppenreenacting1959well… Just to list a few things… Screaming English commands and orders under combat Fx. At 5:13 - 5:23 doesn’t really scream German solider to me really, idk bout you Americans. I myself reenact Danish SS, so I’m allowed to speak danish, but I still speak german under orders and combat, because they were obliged to do that. But you reenact German Wehrmacht soldiers, and still scream in English. Second of all, gotta say love the action and intense combat, that you guys can do when you shut your mouths, but taking a Sunday walk though intense combat at 5:39 - 5:47, just screams laziness and no real danger, just kinda destroy the whole purpose doesn’t it?
Last but not least, love the start with the march, but you have made a video about it yourself, about how to carry a German weapon. But then you see this, 1:27 it looks like this guy just finished navy shields training, and thought to himself “hey, I wanna go out and reenact a German soldier”
Love some stuff that you guys can do, Fx. all the intense combat etc. because it’s not always so easy to do in Europe because of our strict gun laws. But I think a lot of American reenactors need to go home and think about if they really want to portray a German soldier in ww2, because I can’t handle seeing some of this shit. You yourself do an amazing job, not perfect as many other reenactors including myself. But compared to some of this I have seen in this video, you are really the odd one out, good job👍

@granate8295 I 100% agree. Lol, I was one of the guys walking at the end. 😂 I twisted my ankle earlier that day so it was hard for me to run. But yeah I get what you mean. Keep in mind thou that these are really just snippets of the event and doesn't reflect the entire even. Sometimes it feels like you're really there and sometimes you spot incorrect stuff, however, I think what you're describing is just reality of reenacting for most events especially big ones, not everyone is on the same level of knowledge or experience and you will have those small amounts of Inaccuracies that end up being beingvery noticeable sadly. I will say most of the time we were using German commands but there are new guys who simply don't understand. I do agree ,however, reenactors should always work to be better with our impressions not only kit wise but behavior wise as well. For the most part the German reenactors did awesome especially the SS guys in the video but I agree, there were questionable times.

@@granate8295You have to bear in mind that not many Americans are bilingual or have the fortune to be in a part of the world where they can practice a second language by driving an hour or two away to another country.
I myself know enough German to get by in conversation while speaking but struggle with the different tenses. I was a Funker for this event and actually had to be told to give radio communications in English because the other Funkers didn’t speak enough German to keep up with basic combat callouts/updates.
