Everybody who is commenting on Rachel Wards look... maybe at this stage of her life, after all the glamour, she wants to bring meaning to this world. Maybe she realized that looks will fade (which will happen to all of us, incl you all) & that there is more to life. THAT to me is super beautiful. At least she doesnt wslk around with pumped up lips & cherkbones. Because she still is si beautiful. Beautiful bone structure

I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Richard after his performance in a play several years ago. He certainly ages well. Very handsome and down to earth. Even after meeting others after me, he remembered my name. He waved and said "bye Maddy". He certainly made my day. And yes, I am a senior citizen and remember Dr. K. My fiance and I drove back to NY, with a smile on my face. 🙂🙏👍

And Rachel is animal lover. She was my favourite then and always will be. Her acting was so real and natural . I don't even remember how many times i watched this serial because of her.

I'm sure when fixed up Rachel looks wonderful. They should've used a more flattering 2021 foto....most of us dont exactly look terrific all the time. You can Google recent images...shes still a beauty. She was always slim. I'm thrilled she and Bryan have remained together all these decades... beautiful 😍

I love how she looks, no botox horrible plastic surgery, we can still see that it is her. She is 64 years and is still looks great. Let's not compare her in her twenties to her now, no one past that test. She's a senior who appears to enjoy her life.

@@sarahholland2600 Most definitely, as one gets older, the rule of thumb is to carry just a “LITTLE bit” of extra weight as it will plump-up the face just enough to avoid looking emaciated in the facial area…..Rachael’s a lovely woman but it’s simply a FACT. And you’re right, that Australian sun is STRONG w/o proper protection.

I agree. She is one of the few actresses that can cry on cue with real tears, not just fake sniffling. She was a great actress and I am so glad she and Bryan are still happily married.

Loved the book and the mini series
WOW‼ Rachel Ward could easily pass for a bag-lady, now. I had such a big crush on her back in the day. And into the early 90's. She was classically beautiful. Tall, not that I'm in to tall women. Husky voice. Never understood why she didn't go further in her career.🥺

omg i grew up with the serie and i adored Rachel sooooo much one of my most beloved serie of all time
The novel was the 2nd "grown-up" book I ever read as a teenager, (after Gone with the Wind) in the early 1980's, & I loved it. Read it again a few times afterwards, it was so interesting & insightful re life on a foreign continent. And love, life & death, faith, in general. I still have the yellowed crumbling paperback on a bookshelf.

One of the best TV series I have ever watched., on par with "SHOGUN". Richard Chaberlain was fantastic and beautiful Rachel Ward was not far behind in her performance. Great story ! Unforgetable.

I Never read a book more than once...... except the Thorn Birds. I stopped counting when I reached the 20th time!!!! Seriously! I moved to West Hollywood about 7-8 yrs ago, & ran into Richard Chamberlain in the grocery store. & I recently saw him grabbing a burger. He is still Handsome! An Amazing profile! He was Very Polite & Nice.
