    Insanely helpful. I have this servo in my amazon cart, was looking everywhere for this exact information before i ordered. Thank you

    This analog servo comes from KingMax available in the UK from howesmodels.com.
    See my site sailservo.co.uk for full spec of this and others in the range.
    For a much faster drum servo, use my two digital winches which have been used in IOM and RG65 since 2013 with great sucess. I can program to suit your sheet travel.

    can you limit the number of turns by decreasing the rate to 80% or setting the end point adjustment on your flysky radio?

    • @consumerwil
      @consumerwil  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yes, as long as your radio has end point adjust, you should be able to limit the turns.

      @@consumerwil thank you very much 🥰
      I recently purchased a 20-year-old Robbe Comtesse sailboat, which has a long servo arm to adjust the bending sheets. I'm considering installing a winch servo in place of the arm, which had become bent due to the high tension exerted by the rigging and pulley system.

    So what is the largest sail area you would use these for? I have a pair of old 36/600 Dumas Huson's that I was going to set up for match racing since they are not competitive and want to go to proportional sail winch instead of the old switched style.

      Ric Bergstrom the torque rating is around 15kg so it should be ok for a 36/600.

    Great video - thanks for making it thumbs up! I'm looking at a different application for this winch - is it able to turn continuously with different config on the controller or is it limited to the 5 1/2 turns as you show... TIA, Mark.

      @consumerwil  Před 7 lety +1

      Thanks :) The end points can be changed based your controller. (ie. if you increase it to say 120%, then perhaps it will go past 5 1/2 turns. Or less turns based on a lower end point %)

    Does the servo have Position feedback?

      Roland I don't think it would be easily obtained.
