Nemophila is a band formed in 2019, but actually each of their members is from a different band, and they are a very unique band, each song has different elements, Two guitarists: Saki（from mary’s blood) and hazuki（from lisaX band) are very well knows female guitarists in Japan, drummer murata tamu has collaborated with many singers and bands，and she also a solo drummer , the singer mayu with a highly recognizable scream and beautiful voice. haraguchi is the happiest bassist I have ever seen😜

Cheers guys. They are an amazing band. They started just before COVID hit and have probably done CZcams during COVID better than anyone. Check out their channel for some amazing covers too. They would release covers to keep themselves busy and stay connected. They then provided us with original material that is awesome as well. They have done live studio work and in that you see their love for music and each other shine through. The drummer Murata tam and the bassist Haraguchi san are always having a good laugh together. Their covers are more tributes to the bands they love. Their Iron Maiden covers are great. You must check their Japanese band covers by Maximum the Hormone (SHIMI and Zetsubo Billy) or X-Japan's KURENAI. For originals RAITEI or DISSENSION mv and OIRAN live at NAON YAON 2021 is a good start.

Nemophila are pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and a much more raw and energetic experience than Lovebites, even though they are the absolute pros of the genre today. Nemophila and Hanabie have made 2021 worth enduring - check out Nemophila’s Dissension or Oiran live from Naon Yaon to catch their energy - if you want to be scared check out Hanabie as well, you will not be disappointed.

Try another female band like lovebites, band maid , trident , bridear and telecide....you be amazed...

@@dougporteous2474 Lol what. I'll give you the US, but Europe still reigns supreme when it comes to metal. Japan has a great metal scene though, no doubt.
NEMOPHILA is a Tokyo-based Japanese metal band formed in August 2019, was introduced as "Super Metal Band" on their official debut in September 2019 at the METAL WEEKEND 2019 (Zepp Diver City, Tokyo), where the band opened up for heavy metal legends, LOUDNESS and HAMMERFALL. No one could argue with the title "Super Metal Band" as all the band members are no strangers to Japanese rock/metal scene with several decades of experience between them; and individually regarded as a reputable seasoned musician.
NEMOPHILA started out as session band and supposed to be a one-off session as the "Mayu Session Band", assembled by Mayu (ex-LIPSTICK vocalist) who approached her friend, Haraguchi-san (ex-HöLDERLINS bassist). They later made contact with Tamu Murata (ex-Soramimi drummer). Mayu can't play guitar well so they were introduced to Saki (Mary's Blood & AMAHIRU guitarist, ex-Destrose), who later introduced Hazuki (Li-sa-X band guitarist, ex-Disqualia) to the rest of the band, completing the superb veteran quintet.
Saki & Hazuki are using 7 strings guitars. Haraguchi-san is using 5 strings bass. Tamu Murata still using double pedals ...with most adorable smile but don't be fooled by that as she is one fierce drummer. Mayu may have another set of lungs to accommodate her 'thunder throat'.
Despite being relatively new formed group, their fan base is growing rapidly at both local and international level. Their CZcams channel @NEMOPHILA hits 100k subscribers before even releasing a debut album and one of their single, DISSENSION, hits one million views!
Their heavy song IS heavy as hell as you listened here. NEMOPHILA approach for their music is play heavy as hell with "yurufuwa" approach (means something like being true to your own nature). They are the most highly anticipated band in Japan right now and yet their attitude towards their surroundings is humbly appreciative and down to earth still.
Their bond between themselves also grow eveeyday like sisters and was particularly shown by the song Life in this performance here czcams.com/video/HFnEYhbEAqg/video.html ...this is their final song for the show and in this performance, all the band members are facing their drummer, Tamu Murata, to show appreciation and thank you for coming back to them after taking a long break giving birth to a beautiful child. During the performance, Tamu had no idea why they were all facing her (instead of 'forward' to the virtual audience like the rest of the performance) and Mayu was purposely focused her attention towards her as directly singing to her. Tamu was later (at the end of the concert) been informed by the rest of the band members what actually happened and during the explaining, they all cried before Tamu herself did. Although during the performance, you could noticed Tamu did 'feel' the emotions (towards the end of the song) sent by Mayu as their bond grown stronger together like sisters who could sense the love between each other without actually saying it. This is Tamu's first performance (minus rehearsals for this concert, which definitely needed after long break) with the rest of the band after giving birth. Tamu Murata really is the special one, a woman, a drummer and a mother, adorable but fierce.

Japan's rock and metal bands are many and the quality of hundreds of them is stratospheric.
Nemophila impresses just about everyone who is into rock and metal. They have a pile of covers but several great originals too. This is the most recent, and they will have another out the 17th. And an album out December 15. They already have an EP, Oiran Extended.
You know about Lovebites. Nemophila and Band-Maid are my top bands. And Gacharic Spin has a couple of new ones I'm really liking. They're also on video here.
And for instrumental metal by a trio that sounds like a six piece, Asterism.

Nice one got here late Time zones (UK)lol Every one has filled you in on the details .There an amazing bunch of hyper talented Ladies only realy got serious start of the year when they realised how well YT and the music was going down with fans .There live stream concerts have been fantastic no fans present but they always rock it out big time .Now have a large fan base world wide due to YT and reactors like you so please do more of there originals and if you fancy dipping into the 70s 80s and 90s there covers that they do just for fun from home or when they are practising are brilliant .All members are virtuoso standard with Tamu (drums) and Saki (killer Guitar) just edging the rest on rock star Statius there big names in Japan appearing on TV programs .Nemo sold out there first since covid in days concert in Tokyo For Jan 2022 and with album out December there going to be in demand . .And Saki is guitar royalty playing with the best of the best you might want to look at Mary's Blood Saki's other band start with Marionet to see Saki in full shred mode LOL .Other great bands and there are far to many to list so here are just a few are Hanabie ,Gacharic Spin . Fate Gear .Trident , Bridear ,Aldious, Lovebites .Bandmaid .There are at lest a 100 good bands pumping out metal in Japan right now. Have fun because once you find all these bands every thing else will seam boring and drab with a few exceptions.

Similar to many Japanese bands, Nemophila are best live. Not there are many live performances from them but as you will discover with Lovebites and Band Maid as examples, the live material is first class. Nemophila ara a younger and angrier Lovebites 😄
