- Assetto Corsa Competizione Easter Eggs! My last video was pretty heavy, so today I'm going as far away from that as I can think and taking a look at the myriad Easter eggs, hidden spots, and other miscellaneous items of debatable intrigue in Assetto Corsa Competitione.

The Raceroom thingy at Nürburgring is there because there is a Raceroom Café there in RL. So it's less of an easter egg and more just showing how it is.
I love the fact that racing developers spend time on the small details
There's some really nice human touches.
There's also a memorial to Roland Ratzenberger at the fence at Tosa
I absolutely adore kuno's for their mindset of ' Why do anything, if not done properly '.
There might not be 175 cars, and 130 tracks in the game, but every track has been done to perfection, every car handles differently, compared to the usual, lets add a bunch of cars that handle pretty much the same with some very slight differences. Top blokes over there !

@@natloz760305 No, sadly we were both mistaken haha. Look at the headlights of the Ferrari. They're flickering like that because it's filmed by a real camera.
@@axelode45 I bet You that it is ACC. Look at the people on the left. They are stationary. And the flickering is simulated even in AC CSP.

Well, it's not part of the real life racing series it's based on, so it's never getting added unfortunately
They could do an NLS DLC
They're almost certainly working on their next project so that's not happening
Racing game easter eggs in general are underrated
This has got to be the most Chthuluiest of all Easter egg vids.
Donington's Easter eggs are quite worrying - apparently, if you have to land at East Midlands Airport, the plane has to land essentially on its arse. Oh, and please use the proper long name - Simply Sausages Donington Park.
I happen to know that Zolder is a venue for the World Cyclo-Cross championship, but I wasn't aware that there was a BMX track as well. I also know that Imola has a sports stadium within it, but Misano as well? I wonder which division the local teams play in?
That high-res picture of Marco on the mirror sort of creeps me out a bit - reverse vampire effects, I think. And that flag marshal looks remarkably familiar to a shed-dwelling sim racing contemporary...

Great video as always Chris! It's this kind of content that we need more off in simracing in my opinion! One small thing I picked up on tho, as a Belgian I'd say Zolder is in the North-East of the country, but it's only a minor thing, keep up the great work!

Interesting you mention about touching Easter Eggs that you would never see... I'll never forget about a year ago finding one in the LA Canyons mod on Assetto Corsa, on the top of one of the remote mountains impossible to drive to there is a little plaque to someone named Jeremy... presumably a friend of the modder who passed away.
Had no idea some of those were there. Raceroom also has a great memorial for Senna. Love that attention to detail.
If I remember correctly, there is a tennis court outside of turn 4 at Mount Panorama.

I've was at the Motogp at Donington around 2004 and an A320 pilot taking off from East Midlands did a low level flyby over us at the Craner Curves. As he flew in over the bridge he banked the plane on its side so the passengers got a good look. Best seats in the house!
I have spent about half my time in ACC in VR just looking at all the wires, equipment and labels in the cars, there are so many details its mindblowing
I've been hoping to see a Senna memorial in any sim, and always looks. So great to see it here!
Fun video, the Scary Tree at Snetterton was fun to find
During endurance races in ACC when I m waiting for my stint I take trackwalk with my stream chat. You discover a lot of fun things when doing so.
I think they even simulate water run off in canals when it rains and more. The designers is really into details.

That was GT Sport level of detail. It's a rarity to find a serious race sim dev being this detail on track. Well done Kunos.
I usually go every 2 week to the bmx track in zolder pretty sick that they include in the game
i love finding fun stuff on sim tracks, particularly ac mods. theres endless easter eggs in la canyons
Imola also has the Roland Ratzenberger fans memorial straight on at the hairpin and on the fence in front of the stand right hand side. Nice little touches

I don't know if it counts as an easter egg, but I always love to look at the fun looking water park at Hungaoring!
Great video! One thing that came to mind, though, is all the aerial replay footage that you have access to. I'd imagine they included a lot of the "out of bounds" stuff because it'd be visible in the periphery of aerial shots, among other reasons.
I don't have wheel so I packed my racing games till I have one, but watching your videos give me relief.
So guys (& Gals), is it wrong to wish this into a Series. Now although I have none off the top of my head to be honest --- please consider chucking Chris Haye any other Easter Eggs you know of --- for AC / PC2 / R3E / rF2 / AMS2 / Wreckfest & maybe even BeamNG, hahahaha (ohhh, and we mustn't forget the best Sim of ALL!!! - PC3 ; )))

I have to say this is amazing. I knew about the Senna memorial and the guys in face masks, but all that other stuff... wow. You would expect that love for detail from Polyphony Digital, but i guess Kunos surpassed them.
Once again very well put together video, just one thing, did you come straight from the woodwork shop as you seem to be covered in dust.
in Nord by Snoopy for AC you can find a hole in the fence and drive right up to the castle for a cool photo shoot
4:28 could’ve just left it at “so does Imola.” That little editing anecdote doesn’t add much and just brings up the exact awkward tone shift you were trying to avoid.
In the Hungaroring map, an actual real life waterpark is modelled to the game and as a person who already visited that waterpark, the view is scarily accurate.

2:18 Well.... that is absolutely the last thing you will hear me say knowing ACC demands a nasa PC
Ah. You fell for one of the classic blunders of all time... No... not never get involved in a land war in Asia... but just because the graphics and textures are present doesn't mean that the road surface has the proper physics mapped to make it a raceable surface in the game. So even though you can do a detailed camera fly-over of the tarmac of the Nördschleife, doesn't mean that the physics engine would know what to do if you tried to put the cars on it.
Makes me wonder why they went the extra mile to include all these things at the circuits. Because some of them look high quality even up close, like the memorials. Maybe they were planning some cutscenes for the career mode that showcases the locations? Weird they never shown any of these on promotion shots.
I hit a wall at Bathurst every time a kangaroo runs across the track and I instinctively swerve to avoid it. (Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.) 😜

@@Ishin69 no, but hard to achieve AC level graphics at a given framerste in ACC on the same older computer, which is frustrating for racers on a budget.
If I ran ACC with my graphics settings (extremely low + 720p) I would never be able to see such Easter eggs and get eye cancer in the process of looking for them

Why is Kunos including airports in their tracks? Perhaps, they are also trying to get a Microsoft Flight Simulator plugin for a complete immersion experience. You fly from home to the track, race and fly back home :)

While I'm impressed with the attention to detail Kunos have lovingly applied to ACC, I can't help but think that if they'd left the stuff out that we can't really see then maybe it would run properly in VR.
Your comment is probably not serious. But no, those few extra polygons at some points on the track are absolutely nothing for your modern GPU :P VR performance comes down to how UE4 at its core handles it. They wouldn't sacrifice performance for small details anyway, no dev would.
