By law, landlords in Scotland must provide tenants with a written copy of the terms of their tenancy.
To help, the Scottish Government has developed a model tenancy agreement, which can be customised and downloaded for free.
The online service uses information about the tenants and the property to generate a standard agreement, covering all of the mandatory terms in the private residential tenancy, including repairing standards and deposit requirements.

…along with preferences, such as how tenants and landlords will communicate with each other.
Once complete, the agreement can be downloaded and printed.
