  • Thank you so much to Boldr for lending me this watch for review.
    If you are interested in this watch or others from their range then I'll leave a link to their website below:
    www.boldrsuppl...
    Thank you so much for WATCHing my video and I hope that you check out all my other content.
    I release 3 videos per week, all watch related, including reviews, first impressions and general watch related topics.
    I try very hard to diversify my content as well and will feature big known watch brands, microbrands as well as Aliexpress watches.
    The majority of the watches I feature are in the affordable range but I do try and get some less affordable watches as well.
    Most of the watches that I feature I have bought with my own money. I buy them to enjoy and wear but I also to feature them on this channel.
    Being a smaller channel it is challenging to cover the cost of all the watches that I buy and partly because of this I have become an affiliate member with a number of companies including Aliexpress, Ashford.com and Jomashop.
    If you are looking for watches from well known brands then it is worth checking out:
    www.ashford.com
    www.jomashop.com
    As an affiliate member I may leave affiliate links in the descriptions of videos. These links will direct you to the watches that I’ve experienced, reviewed and would certainly recommend. If you choose to use those links I will earn a very small commission.
    Thank you very much if you choose to use those links.
    Below are affiliate links for my absolute favorite watches on Aliexpress. Each of them I have owned and had positive experiences with the stores that they are linked to.

    Could be a great St Patrick's Day watch for us Irish fellas James! It's very nice, BUT, I agree with you on titanium. I prefer steel for a dive watch. I have a Seiko quartz titanium diver from a good few years ago and even though it had a diashield hardened coating on it, it got scratched to bits on coral and pebbles in the ocean. Scratches on titanium look at least 100 times worse than scratches on stainless steel and are difficult if not impossible to polish out. I think titanium could be a good material for dress watches, but nobody seems to do it. It's used mostly on dive, field or sports watches which it's just not suitable for in my opinion. Excellent review as ever.

      Thanks Brian. I do like the use of colour on this one but it really has confirmed to me that I prefer stainless steel.
      It is interesting to hear about the look of scratches on titanium. I had not considered that.

    Perhaps i am being picky but i would like to see the outline of both hands the same colour. Also, i am not a fan ot titanium, but only because i enjoy the hefty feeling of watches that i usually wear. Other than that ie seems nice enough and i like the strong lume.

      I’ve tried a few titanium watches now and definitely realised I prefer stainless steel

    I am not a fan of green watches, but for this one I could fall. If the clasp was better and if it was priced like a Helm watch. I am on the waitlist for a Helm Vanuatu Titanium and I think it’s worth waiting for. 🕐⚙️🍸

      The Helm watches are fantastic.
      I’m not normally a green watch fan either. But I really like this one.

    Very cool. Has the integrated bracelet look but you can swap out the bracelet. Really like the new look for your studio also! 👍🏼 (edit) forgot to add, I also prefer stainless to titanium. I just like a little heft with my watch. Thanks!

    Hoping someone can offer some insight into why milled clasps are necessarily better than pressed claps. I've always found that pressed clasps work perfectly fine. As James noted in this review, when the watch is on wrist, it makes no difference.

    • @stephenmundane
      @stephenmundane Před 10 měsíci +2

      I don't think that they are necessarily better, milled clasps are more expensive to manufacture so perhaps watch lovers assume they will offer a better wearing experience? Pressed clasps were fine for Rolex for decades...

      @@stephenmundane Thank you. I suspected a superficial reason of that sort.

    • @WATCHingJames
      @WATCHingJames  Před 10 měsíci +2

      I don’t think they are better either. But there is a feeling of being better quality. Once on wrist that all goes away so in reality it does not matter really.

    • @replyguy1965
      @replyguy1965 Před 10 měsíci +2

      Wear it long enough and your skin/brain won't feel the difference. But when you switch between pressed and milled, to me it feels that there is more 'icky' skin contact with a pressed clasp.

      Once on wrist it is great and comfortable. But in hand it feels average.

  • @johnmonachelli5256
    @johnmonachelli5256 Před 10 měsíci +1

    Wow why would they put that clasp on that watch???

    • @WATCHingJames
      @WATCHingJames  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I assume it is to match the titanium. But it does not feel great and I wish it looked and felt better.
      But once in wrist you don’t notice it.
