I live in Cortland and am looking for places to bank fish when the wind won’t allow me to fish my 1440. I believe this is skinny? Help a fellow angler out on this location
Good guess, though this was a different lake. From what I recall, there isn't a ton of easy shore access from Skan... though there is another Finger Lake that is VERY close by Skan that has a very nice entry point where there is both shore access, and a lot of wadable shore line. I won't mention the name of the spot (I don't want to burn it), but if you do a little google maps investigating, you should be able to find it!

I’ve fished PLENTY of “wind blown” shoreline points and done good !! The wind does push baitfish around sometimes
For sure… that wind in the early spring is always the best… even if the conditions are tough to manage!

You should have stayed. Never leave when they are biting like that. Life is too short. What ever can wait unless your having a baby.
