- The Loden Foundation, Bhutan's first registered charity, launched its Entrepreneurship Program in 2008. Since then it has funded 106 local entrepreneurs, creating a total of over 200 employment opportunities nation-wide.
Initiated by the Foundation, MADE IN BHUTAN is a documentary portraying this recent emergence of entrepreneurship. In 2012, pro-bono director Hirondelle Chatelard travelled the kingdom with a Bhutanese film crew meeting and interviewing entrepreneurs and key individuals.
MADE IN BHUTAN was released in the capital city, Thimphu, in November 2013. Since then it has been screened all over Bhutan in various settings, ranging from schools and universities to prisons and TV broadcasts, in the hope to inspire as many young people as possible.
International screenings include London, New York, Washington, San Francisco, Boston, Lyon, Katmandu.
If you are interested in hosting or organizing a screening, please contact Dorji Tashi: dtashi@loden.org

I'm going to see what you can buy in n.z that's made in Bhutan, you rock Bhutan good on you. 😍👍
That was so interesting to watch. The work ethic of those portrayed was so strong I was wishing for their success. Those boots are wonderful. I realise the young people want a different future just like young people everywhere but I hope they keep their culture and upbringing always. Never forget where you come from, basic learning is a great base for anyone's future. You have a beautiful country, great Kings have served you well and you can repay them by continuing with your skills be it song, dance, crafts, beliefs and using these to go forward into the 21st century.
SIMPLY GREAT !!! SUCH A NOBLE ATTITUDE IS CHANGING THE IDEA OF BUSINESS I HAVE HAD UNTIL NOW. THANK YOU !!! LOVE FROM VIENNA/AUSTRIA/EUROPE 🍁🍂💃⛩️❤️⛩️💃🍂🍁

Hi Karma it is George from Santa Barbara. Nice to see your comments here on the topic at hand~~~ Tashi delek and Namaste~~~
Sometimes we look for inspiration too locally. What great stories of vision & organic growth.
Very interesting and very informative video - However as the American singer/songwriter Bob Dylan, and many people in this video have said, - "the times they are a-changin'". One would hope that as Bhutan changes the people will still be able to hold on to their culture of the past as they enjoy the fruits of their entrepreneurship in the future.
Congratulations Aum Dago and Ashi Zigze ....... great work by Loden foundation

Video is informative but the music while people are talking is way too much!
Terrible choice of music and hard to understand what they are saying.
They look like burmese in some aspect.

Its absurd to think of happiness without money! ..in fact, this far worse than naked capitalism where at least everyone gets a chance to make money. Bhutanese concept of GNH is a sham!
How can you quantify happiness?
What kind of Utility Indifference curves would you use in the absence of prices?
GNH is probably not proven so far.
I think it's a debate among Experimental Economists.
Perceptions and Choices are difficult to quantify using Happiness alone!!!
It's zillion times better than islamic Theocracies
@@mohitaggarwal7583 Christianity is also good i guess
@@isaiahmuchemi5059 islam and christianity between the devil and the deep sea
Educate yourself kiddo. GNH while in name contains the word “happiness”, actually involves gdp but not at the cost of the environment, culture, good governance. What would an Islamic fanatic whose people go about suicide bombing other countries know though eh?
