The crazy body kit is something from later seasons of the show. KITT had to be rebuilt and they incorporated super pursuit mode. Basically Michael would hit a button and all the crazy body panels would pop out and that somehow made kitt super, super fast.
Yeah, that was when the ratings started to tank and they were trying to make it 'cool' again.
They added Kitt. They should have added Smokey and the Bandit, Dukes of Hazard, and Bullet. If they were smart..
They already have a 1969 Dodge Charger and Black and Gold 1977 Trans Am in the game...
And the Bullet Mustang is a Barn Find. 🫡
I find it unlikely for them to add the Dukes as a true replica due to a certain design on the car, there were tales of people getting banned for making replica of it before

As far as I know kitt doesn’t use traditional combustion engine , it uses An airplane/helicopter like engine ( turbine )

You can likely "experience" it for free via Super 7, since whenever a DLC car shows up there's a likely chance people provide "test drive" of it on Super 7
