Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

Would love to see some glow powder veins with normal colors on a swim bait or some glitter added to the glow powder too. I'm sure that this would have an ice fishing application for us up north in some pan fish molds

The glow works well fishing docks/lights at night. It increases the visual strike zone. Cast past the lit area through the lit area and then as the bait exits the lit area it is still glowing and will sometimes trigger a bite. The predator fish usually are hanging right on the outside of the lit area.

Here is my personal run down of glow baits. I have used them for 35+ years in salt and fresh water. In saltwater they work amazing... to the point they made the "Lunker Lights" illegal in the PNW because they worked TO WELL. They were little glow sticks you put in surgical tubing right above your live bait. You are still allowed the glow powder type plastics which you super charge like you did. In fresh water you do NOT want to over saturate or super charge as that actually drives fish away unless it is just a tiny dot. They have the glow stick baits for ice fishing and glow tail baits for bass, many glow plastics for walleye but the trick is to just barely glow, enough to draw the eye but not be a glaring light to the walleye (bass don't care) and perch. I have been using the old school glow powders in my own baits since I started but only as an accent, these new powders are colored to the point I may start making smallmouth/walleye baits with them as smallies have a serious thing for the bubblegum colored baits, I could fish 24 hours a day with the violet powder smallies all day and wallies all night!

About experience with glow colours... mostly i used the easy shiners from keitech in the colour horny shad (its a swiss custom colour) on a mountain lake and yeah they work especially for lake trout (namaycush). and i made much jigheads with powder colour. mostly i mixed black and green and just a little bit of glow powder. it has given a very nice effect but not too intence. the yellow perch really love this colour. and last but not least... happy birthday chris 🎂

Most people use just a standard glow in the dark that glows green from what I’ve seen and already found out. I personally prefer glow in the dark only for panfish plastics never had much luck with them on anything else. If you ever get the chance try Lit powder from Stuart Semple by far the best glow powder I’ve used charge it and it’ll burn for 4-6 hours easily and sometimes it’ll burn for 8-10 depending on how well it’s charged. Happy Birthday.

I've done a lot of night fishing ever since my daughter was born cause it's when I'm able to get free time. I've done ny fair share of research and I use a glow dip on just the boots of a black buzz frog on a black buzzbait with no skirt. It's what the largest bass in florida was caught on. Was also at night as well. Not too sure if it has much of an effect or not but I feel like it helps add the confidence and gives you a better visual of where your baits at

Happy birthday! I have never used glow in the dark baits before, but I do use a uv (or black light) so I can watch my line. If you get something like the old Stren fishing line in clear/fluorescent blue your line will light up bright blue above the water so you can see your line jump or swim away when a fish hits your bait. It reminds me of Star Wars because it looks like a blue lightsaber sticking out of the water lol. Absolutely love fishing that way

UM= micrometer or micron and I assume refers to the size of the individual grains of powder in the bag. I have a glow in the dark hair jig- in bluegill colors- works pretty well in colder water sometimes. I can see glo-in-the-dark salt water baits working really well because bioluminescent life is common in saltwater- it's a natural color there.

Gorgeous colors, and work much better than I thought they would. I would think the best application for them (and this’ll probably be extremely unpopular) would be for panfish plastics. Ice fishing season is in full swing up here on Lake Erie, and lots of guys use glow in the dark tungsten jigs already, so the addition of the plastic seems like a natural. Also, maybe as the tail on a ribbon worm, claws on craws, or the backs of top water frogs. Great video as always, and have a Happy Birthday!!

First off, happy birthday, Chris! Glow baits aren't just useful in salt and night fishing but any time there is low light penetration, whether it be from depth, shade, or stirred up sediment. Having said that, some glow in the Punch Bug, Stinger, or Ginger Ninja would be great when you are punching through your heavy Florida grass mats. Also, great for tannic water.
