she was raised with music, love to music, freedom to experiment and a born dedication to rythm and low frequencies. And she really dives into her music studies. In one video recording of an exersise with her dad, she said she does not want to stop with the lessons now, when Hovak said it's over. Pure love and dedication for learning to play the bass. Sure, she learned ALOT in like 1 1/2 years, she had great teachers and a high level of dedication and JOY wile learning.
@@phenbuz Definitely talent, along with dedication. My friend in high school his father was a piano and organ teacher and he had a doctorate in music, his son my friend just picked it with a little help from dad, that's why some people can study and study and nothing because it's just not meant to be, I'm good at fixing things and I'm mechanically inclined, I've been told I have a natural talent, some people don't even know how a screwdriver works, you also have to have an interest in something to make it work, look at all the musicians that never had a lesson and just pick things up, so lot of them can't even read music but they feel it, that's talent on loan from God.
Watching Ellen become so adept so fast is a real joy...plus she has a smile that can light up the universe!
Now this baby girl can play bass guitar and she can sing love her ears don't know where she got them ears from it just adds on to her cuteness ❤️👍
She already has "stage presence." We are witnessing a star being born.
She don't just slay it, but has huge amounts of fun doing so.

The best thing is that she enjoys playing the bass. With the support of her father and her love for the bass, she will be one of the best bass players in the world.
Not sure which fascinates me more: the fact that she literally nailed the piece or the fact that she shows how much FUN she is having while doing so.

My favorite part is when you get to a particularly tricky part and then, when you play it correctly, you get this huge grin on your face as if to say, "Nailed it". I know dad is grinning at you behind the camera too.

In all my years of listening and seeing young musicians on CZcams I have never seen a better talent than this young musician. And the great thing is that she’s enjoying playing the bass and absolutely loving it. A breath of fresh air.

When I was a kid, I was nervous and frightened by my strict music teacher because I was made to believe that I had to be perfect or I'm in trouble for not doing my homework. But you and your Dad work together with enjoyment as a fun activity that you both love and enjoy. The best way to get good at something is if you love and enjoy it. Not enforced. Your Dad is the perfect music teacher with lots of love, patience, and participation. Plus, he's a great Dad! Keep up the fantastic work both of you as you climb up your journey together! ❤️

I’ve been a fan of Ellen’s playing for quite awhile. It really is thrilling to see her developing so much as a musician over the last couple years. She’s become quite the “pocket player” going for more complex compositions and really developing her “funk” chops and groove playing. Yeah - she continues to improve and I have no doubt she has a great career ahead of her if she so chooses. I count myself among those who spotted her talent and infectious stoke for bass guitar from early on. Way to go Ellen! Kudos to your father for all his guidance in helping you become the fantastic player you’ve become. He’s definitely a great player as well.
