ending was a little basic. lemme give y'all more specific advice.
    use music for...
    - solving repetitive problems
    - working on art projects
    - programming
    - organizing notes or data
    - brainstorming
    don’t use music for...
    - reading dense text
    - writing essays
    - learning complex topics
    - watching lectures
sorry about that! will flesh out my ideas a bit more in future videos

Lately I have been listening to music throughout the whole school day, through reading, writing and more. I have been more focused than I have ever been in school before, it helped silence the many songs repeating in my mind- and just focusing on one song. I have started to seem dependent on this though. One day- since my headphones didn’t charge- I went without music. The day seemed way more chaotic without it. No matter what it is, music really helps me get into the zone and helps me focus on my stuff more.

As someone who does a lot of computer work here’s my decision:
Most importantly: lyrics kill assignments don’t listen to music with lyrics especially when reading or writing
    Lectures: *NO MUSIC*
Project: kinda fast music to give yku a sense of urgency and swiftness
    Regular assignments: chill music
    Quizzes: playlist of whatever honestly
Important tests: queue only your favorite songs because getting frustrated at a song yku don’t like will knock you off of your game
Happy studying! Thanks for reading have a cookie 🍪

Lo-fi was the victor because people felt more concentrated when working with it. We also found that in the class we tested in, the music affected positively the men more than women. Lastly is showed that alot of people where affected negatively by the use of music in these circumstances. However, multiple people that benefited from the music where motivate to try and utlize it at home for homework or for their studies.

Also when I write I rely on my internal monologue, so if I have a moment of inspiration and can find a song that suits what I am writing: that productivity right there.

My mom did a study similar to this in college. There was this standardized test (like a copy of an SAT test or something) and the study had volunteer groups of test takers listen to different genres while taking it (like one group had rock, one had classical, etc). One group was the no music/control group.
Long story short, only the no music group did well on the test.

Music helps me to stay concentrated. When I listen to whatever my favorite song is, it helps me to feel happy, hence positive, hence productive. Might just be me, but when I listen to music, it mkes it easier to read and study. It helps most when you pick a song you can listen to for hours on repeat. Then you can be more productive; you can avoid becoming distracted by constantly changing to the next song. Another thing that could work, is to making a playlist.

I can find it easier to work with music on, so do some of my friends. Our old teacher
(I’m in the fourth grade last day of school)
Let us listen to music since it helps us focus

Honestly, for me, I would say that it helps me focus more because I cannot have it be quiet around me. Also it helps me get work done faster because then I can jam out to my favorite songs later on. My advice would to be to go to CZcams and find a long playlist with some really good music that you enjoy. Then you may not be as prone to changing the playlist constantly.

Writing essays which are boring to fun music is such a vibe! I honestly always listen to music no matter what work I’m doing because it helps me concentrate :)

It really matters what assignment I’m doing, I only use it during history and sometimes English when writing something down, and even when studying. I only don’t use it while reading, doing math, and Spanish.

I use music with lyrics + instrumental versions of songs or video essays for when I don't need language processing like for art projects.
Music without lyrics or incomprehensible lyrics for stuff like math or coding projects.
For writing assignments, I usually don't listen to anything.
Another good audio to use is ADHD "body double with me" stuff.

I really recommend using the clock ticking sound. Its relaxing and stimulates panic when u r slacking off or day dreaming. Its a reminder that time is ticking and also feels like asmr ❤❤❤

as an adhd middle schooler, i find that music allows me to focus on what im doing. if there is anybody else with adhd, i recommend doing this. while doing homework especially math homework, listen to a couple songs you like but dont love, then when you finish, you can listen to your favorite song(s) as a reward, which'll allow you to want to finish your work for the small yet still nice reward set up for you!

For me listening to music helps me focus. I listen to different stuff depending on what I’m trying to work on (such as instrumental for reading). I also have sensory issues so it helps tune out background noise.
