I recommend music with no lyrics, especially if you’re doing a reading/writing assignment. My personal favorite is the soundtrack from the video game Night in the Woods.

I usually use music as background, so I don't get bored and begin inspecting the wall and start deconstructing my pen. Some silent things aren't good for music, but most of the time silent tasks are.
Heres a large tip: studying with music that has vocals will probably not help you focus much because listening to a human voice is a little distracting white noise or soundtracks without vocals absolutely help with concentration 👍 it still depends on anyones preference for music but this still helped me
Lately I have been listening to music throughout the whole school day, through reading, writing and more. I have been more focused than I have ever been in school before, it helped silence the many songs repeating in my mind- and just focusing on one song. I have started to seem dependent on this though. One day- since my headphones didn’t charge- I went without music. The day seemed way more chaotic without it. No matter what it is, music really helps me get into the zone and helps me focus on my stuff more.
As someone who does a lot of computer work here’s my decision: Most importantly: lyrics kill assignments don’t listen to music with lyrics especially when reading or writing Lectures: *NO MUSIC* Project: kinda fast music to give yku a sense of urgency and swiftness Regular assignments: chill music Quizzes: playlist of whatever honestly Important tests: queue only your favorite songs because getting frustrated at a song yku don’t like will knock you off of your game Happy studying! I can only listen to music when I’m doing math homework as I don’t have to lock in on reading/comprehension like I do with other subjects. I guess it just involves different parts of my brain.
Bro I finally got into discord after a year also the best music to listen to can be whatever u want as long as you don’t get to distracted if you do listen to GOHAR
Listening to music can help you focus and enjoy studying more, but be cautious with songs that have vocals, as they can be distracting. It's all about finding what works best for you!
I always play music in the background while studying even singing with the music it helps remembering stuff with a rythem but when it distracts me i turn it off and study in complete silence
Dark green noise. Sound best. Aslo, personally, high energy noise helps me lock in and work harder. I've been told stimulants help adhd so it might just be that lol. But if its got lots of lyrics i cant help but jam out, so i try to stray from that
Honestly, music does help me keep focus because one time I was doing my homework at the very last minute and I felt so much stress but I put on some calming music and they did help me calm down and it did make me finish my work a bit faster
Lo-fi is magical. I have a really hard time focusing on anything except art (which i can unknowingly do like 8 hour streches of w/o food water br etc.), but as soon as I turn on lofi sleep radio its like insane, all my thoughts stop crowding in my head and i can actually, like, function
studying makes me really uneasy and i feel very anxious maybe because i'm feeling the pressure of it, but when i listen to calming music while studying, it makes my studying more smoother and makes me more calmer studying.
I put it on the right side of my brain since that's the 'creative side' of the brain. Which let's me focus on knowledge and helps me not to get distracted.

When im feeling low on energy, any kind of music can help me to boost myself up and also, temporarily take a break, reducing my stress and even focusing on the current assignment
A classmate and I did a study on this this year for out methodology class. Because of time constraints, we tested out 2 genres: Lo-Fi and Rock. Lo-fi was the victor because people felt more concentrated when working with it. We also found that in the class we tested in, the music affected positively the men more than women. Lastly is showed that alot of people where affected negatively by the use of music in these circumstances. However, multiple people that benefited from the music where motivate to try and utlize it at home for homework or for their studies.
I’ll use my pop playlist to kind of encourage me when I’m finishing assignments, and lofi when in need to lock in and study. Never used white noise but I might try it out
I use it to go with the rhythm , Basically I follow the beat as I study , It helps me keep active as well as complete tasks much faster due to the constant rate of work done.
Istg for writing essays I ALWAYS listen to any slipknot song. Ot just helps me dealing with the noisy classroom and somehow gets me on a full concentrated mood
The tip I generally found to be the most effective. If you have to learn material, it's almost always better to not listen to any kind of music. When you need to practise exercises, then music can be a really good way to keep yourself motivated to keep working. When I was on school I would listen to whole albums per topic of study and I associated the info with the albums then when I recall particular songs, what I was studying comes to mind. So the songs helped me recall the information
For writing it really depends. Like, music for me is less about the tuning out anymore as it is the vibes. Like math sucks to me , but I could grind it out with video game boss music. Also when I write I rely on my internal monologue, so if I have a moment of inspiration and can find a song that suits what I am writing: that productivity right there.

Music helps me to stay concentrated. When I listen to whatever my favorite song is, it helps me to feel happy, hence positive, hence productive. Might just be me, but when I listen to music, it mkes it easier to read and study. It helps most when you pick a song you can listen to for hours on repeat. Then you can be more productive; you can avoid becoming distracted by constantly changing to the next song. Another thing that could work, is to making a playlist.
I can find it easier to work with music on, so do some of my friends. Our old teacher (I’m in the fourth grade last day of school) Let us listen to music since it helps us focus
